I am interested in starting or getting into a thread that has a fantasy / SciFi and/or medieval sense to it. I have kinda been out of the loop of writing in RPG for about a year but I am in now way a newbie.
I love to write, and I miss how much growth I did when I was writing with other people. It was the thrill of the not knowing what the other person was going to do. So.. please. Let me know if you are a serious* RPG'er and would like to do something or invite me into a thread. All I ask is that it's not a thread that has too many posts. I don't want to jump into the middle of something.
* Serious, meaning... no "one-liners," all third-person, and I write in Past Tense. Example of my writing:
Kneeling on the ground silently, Leo listened, but made no other movements. He solemnly stared at the ground.
Behind him Neftiné walked up and let her hand fall on his shoulder. “It’s quiet here.”
Leo nodded but still said nothing.
“Are you remembering her here?”
Still, silence.
“Do you blame the Lady?”
“Nefti, she wasn’t my mother!” Leo snapped at her.
Familiar with his outbursts, Neftiné only sighed. “I never said anything about her being your mother. But you remember her now as you sit here, don’t you?”
Leo picked himself up off the ground and started walking back to camp. Neftiné caught up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist.
At that moment, Leo's resolve left him and he broke down in tears.
“This is stupid. She wasn’t even my mother,” Leo choked out.
Neftiné squeezed her eyes closed. The stronger of the two of them was crying so she had to be the strong one now. “How can you say that? She didn’t birth you, but she was, deep down.”
