Thank you so much for your prayers, we went to the hospital this morning to urology to check if the cancer had spread to the bladder. What a relief, it hasn't, just a thickening of the wall which can be dealt with. The team are meeting this afternoon to decide how to proceed with the bowel cancer. I pray for guidance from the Lord for them, and trying not to be anxious. I will trust in our wonderful Saviour.
You are most welcome. Thank God that it did not Spread to the bladder. Dear Heavenly Father I pray that you heal musicalpilgrims husband and give her and him strength, hope , and peace during this time. please prevent the cancer from spreading Lord. Touch him with your holy healing and comforting hand. Please give the doctors wisdom what steps to take. Give them peace thank you Father in you most holy name amen

My cancer has metastasized, so it is spreading to other parts of my body, recently my lungs. I really don't want to know my new life expectancy. I simply wish for God's Will to be done, and I know that it will be. I give thanks that God is still giving me comfort and strength. I got an infusion of iron last week, and I'll get another one this week. Iron helps tremendously. The chemo treatments go in cycles of two weeks, and I take a small infusion machine home with me. I named my last infusion machine Ralph. He is my friend and eliminates a lot of pain.

I've prayed for strength, comfort, and joy. My Gracious Father has granted my prayers so far. If you pray for me - please - this is what I want.

Thanks for letting us know Tom. I was wondering how you were getting on. I'm sorry to hear that the cancer is spreading and am continuing to pray for ease of pain and discomfort for you. I'm glad that the iron helps and hope that it will continue to do so.

I'm also praying for a strong sense of comfort, strength, peace and joy and am thankful that you have felt that. May the Lord's presence be with you always, in Jesus' Name. :prayer:

Agreeing in prayer for guidance from the Lord in how to treat the bowel cancer :groupray:, and giving thanks that it hasn't spread to the bladder. Also praying for peace of mind for you both. (Philippians 4 v 6-7 comes to mind.)

I have been dipping in and out of the forums lately and only catching up but praying for all on this thread who are in sickness and their families, I so hate cancer but no matter what, NOTHING can separate us from the love of God through Jesus.

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38+39)

Dear Tom

I am so sorry to hear of this. It is inspirational to read your words, which speak so clearly of your implicit faith in the Lord and your acceptance of all that is happening. I do pray for you, that your pal, Ralph, will do his job superbly and help you to remain pain-free. That the doctors and nurses will be ever vigilant and careful in all they do for you. That your wife and children are given much strength as they undertake this journey with you. That you, Tom, are granted the few things you ask for, strength, comfort and a deep, abiding joy in the Lord. May His Hand be ever upon you and may you know the comfort of the Holy Spirit in all things.

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him."

God bless you, Tom!

I get most of my treatments at Integris Cancer Institute in Oklahoma City. The staff and nurses are very nice there, and I'm glad to have a place to go like this.

We have a good local hospital, and a very thoughtful and kind Macmillan nurse specialist with the bowel cancer unit.
Lord have mercy and heal.

I love this verse from Numbers

That is great, Tom, that you are at ease with the place. It makes such a difference to have complete trust in the staff around you. I am glad for that and I hope you have had a good day today. :)
