Aura heard the door open and looked towards the door. The second she saw a girl standing with her bags in her hand, Aura knew that the room was now to be shared. She rolled her eyes and groanned.
"Great..." she muttered.

Kade saide walking in and closeing the door. She put her bags down on the other bed and sat down.

Aura only grunted and rolled onto her back. She wiped the remains of her tears from her eyes and sighed. Without looking at the girl next to her she muttered, "I'm Aura."

Hope smiled as Izzy introduced herself, but then her eyes started traveling around the room. She dropped her bags to the floor as she closed the door behind her. She was listening to Izzy, but checking out the place at the same time. The FBI sure did take care of them. The suite was furnished and there was even a cheezy framed motivational poster on the wall. She smirked at that and wondered if it would be in bad character to take it down.

Her attention snapped back to Izzy as a door slammed. Did she do that? Hope relaxed a bit as Izzy explained herself.

"Oh don't worry about it," Hope said with a caring smile. "I guess we're all going to have to get used to each other's abilities around here."

She then looked down at her badge and sheepishly said, "It's cool that you can use yours. I don't even know what mine is really. My badge says 'solidification' but I haven't gotten up the nerve to ask what that means." She looked back up at Izzy, "I guess these people are going to teach us to control our powers, but do you really think they can teach me to use mine if I've never done anything with them before? For other people, their powers seem to just ... happen."

Hope picked up her bags and carried them over toward the bedroom to the right.

Izzy smiled, feeling a bit more relaxed with her new roommate. It looked like they were going to get along all right. She followed Hope toward the bedroom, noticing it was laid out much the same as her own. She wondered how much leeway they had in making their rooms their own, putting up posters on the walls and things like that. Of course, Izzy had pretty much come to the academy with just the clothes on her back and the few things she had managed to shove into her tattered camo-print bag. She had a bit of money, but she doubted she'd be spending it on making her room look more cozy. She leaned against the bedroom doorframe as Hope went in. "Yeah, I've always had some control, but sometimes stuff just happens."

Izzy folded her arms across her chest, considering Hope's question about whether or not the FBI was going to be able to teach her how to control something she'd never even used before. "'Solidification' sounds interesting though." She thought for a moment. "Sounds like you can make things solid that usually aren't. Doesn't it? Strange though that they would know what your ability is and you wouldn't." Izzy shrugged one shoulder. "But that's the government for you. I'd guess then that you haven't tried using your power yet? That is, since you found out that you could use it without getting arrested." She gave a soft chuckle.

"Fine." was all she said.
She almost gave Kade an extended answer, but caught herself in time.
"Do we have anything else we have to do today, or does everything start tomorrow?" she asked, hoping she could just go to sleep.

Hope put her bags down on her new bed and sat down on it with just enough umph to bounce a couple times checking out the comfort level. It wasn't too bad. Not as good as her bed at home, but better than what she'd had at college.

Hope shook her head at Izzy's question and began twisting a finger through her ponytail. "I wouldn't even know where to begin if I wanted to." A smile, almost a laugh, came to Hope's face as she said, "growing up, my momma wanted to make sure I never used my abilities. She told me that if I ever did anything strange, to let her know right away. I remember one time running to her in tears because I had burped and I thought that had something to do with my ability."

She laughed at herself and shook her head. "I guess I had a harder time than many kids learning what was normal and what wasn't. But now I don't even know how to try to do something different. What does it feel like when you use your ability?"

"Okay....Ummm I'm not sure. I didnt really hear. I was busy having some one sink into the ground half way and fall on me" Kade said. She looked around the room. It was nicer then the one she had had at home. But then this was a government building they could have things as nice as they wanted.

Austin found his room after the tour was over. It was a fairly small room, obviously made for one person. “Good.” Austin muttered as he put his bag on the bed, “no annoying roommates.” After thoroughly going through the room Austin went out. Most of the others were in their rooms still. The tour had gone through most of the complex, but Austin didn’t have a chance to get a good look at anything. He walked through the complex, mostly just sort of wandering around.

Sammy was handed a room key and the number of the room she was in. It was on the top floor, which was pretty cool. She found the stairs and made her way up, carrying the suite cases that her parents had sent her with. She made it to the top and unlocked the door. As she entered, she saw another girl in the room.

Yay!! She had a room mate!! All her life she had wanted a sibling, so this was the next best thing!!

Kyler

Kyler was embarressed from the fallhe had, but now that he had his room key he could finally go tho his room alone. Kyler checked his room number, 34, and searched the halls. when coming upon his room, he went inside and was a little suprised. He hadn't imagined the rooms being this nice. They were larger than the apartment that him and his father used to share in the city. Kyler walked over to the bedroom to the left and placed his bag on the bed. Aparently he would have to have a room mate, but how bad could it be? Then kyler heard the door open and looked to see his new room mate. This was worse than he expected.

Jason

Jason took his room key and waved a fond farewell to the old prison guards. Jason felt a whole lot better now that he wouldn't be watched twenty four seven by anyone. But he knew that he couldn't mess this up or he would end up right back where he started. He found his room and went in through the door. Standing in the room was jasons new roomie. He was younger than jason and had freakish snowy white hair, but jason had seen wierder. The guy went to introduce himself. "I'm kyler and i guess we'll be in this room together."

"name's Flame." Jason said using his odl gang name. "And I want that bed room, so your gonna have to move." Jason could tell that this guy wasn't one to stand up for himself. He was gonna like it here.

Katherine slipped into her room and shut the door quietly. It seemed she didn't have a roomate...yet. She let out a soft sigh and set her duffel bag down on the floor.

"Lenny.." she cooed softly to her backpack. A small furry head poked out and she smiled. "It's ok, boy, come on out and take a look around our new room," she said quietly as she crossed the room.

The ferret scuttled after her, sniffing everything he could reach. Then he hopped up onto one of the beds, the one furthest from the door. The girl smiled at him again, "yes I liked that one too." She sat down next to him and lay back. Lenny hopped off the bed and continued circling the room, smelling everything.

"Oh!" she said suddenly, sitting up and hopping off the bed. She crossed to her duffel bag and opened it, pulling out Lenny's litter box and food. It took her a few minutes to set things up, but soon the ferret had the far corner of the room all to himself. Kat poured him some water and sat on the bed, watching as he drank greedily.

Katherine stayed on the bed for a while, then got up and opened her door. She peeked out and looked around; no one seemed to be in sight.

"What you say we go stretch our legs a bit?" she said softly to Lenny. His head perked up at the sound of her voice and he saw the open door. "C'mon boy," she said, bending down and holding out her arm. He scuttled over and scampered up her arm, perching on her shoulder - his favorite spot. The two slipped out into the hall - a short Asian girl and her ferret, curious to explore their surroundings.

"Dinner..." Katherine mumbled to herself. "Oh my....will I even be able to remember where the dining hall is?" she mumbled softly to herself as she stood still, thinking. Lenny shifted a little on her shoulder, looking behind her at an open door, then he turned back around and snuggled against her neck. She rubbed his head gently as she headed down the hall again, going to where she thought the dining hall was. Mind control...she mused, so that's what had happened....I suppose I always knew I had something to do with it...people suddenly doing what I wanted them to when I was upset... She continued walking, hardly seeing where she was going, she was so lost in thought.

Izzy blinked, not sure how to answer the question. "Well, I suppose it's different for everyone. I mean, I would assume it is. But for me, when I'm attempting to control an object's movement, all I have to do is think about that object and then think about where I want it to move or what I want it to do. It doesn't always do what I want it to do though." Izzy rolled her eyes. "Actually, I should say most of the time it doesn't do what I want it to do. But when I'm attempting to control an object, it feels like there's an invisible string of......of energy I guess connecting me with the object. It's kind of hard to describe. It's almost like, for that moment, the object is a part of me." Izzy stopped, feeling a bit foolish. She'd never really opened up to anyone about her abilities before and she had gotten a bit carried away. It felt good to actually be able to talk to someone about these things. Her father had made sure she never mentioned anything about her abilities to anyone, including him. He simply pretended she didn't have them. At least, until something happened he couldn't explain (or had been too drunk to remember doing) and decided to blame it on her and her abilities.

Izzy shook her head slightly to clear her mind of those memories. "But anyways, like I said, I don't always have control. Like a minute ago with that door. I didn't mean to do that. I was just thinking about the room, gestured to the door and then......" Izzy shrugged, wondering if she should mention the fact that she had another ability.....telepathy. She decided against it. She had just met Hope and didn't want her thinking Izzy would be delving into her thoughts whenever she wanted. Not that she could, even if she wanted to. It took an incredible amount of concentration and even then Izzy had only been able to catch glimpses of thoughts and memories. But it was still better to get to know someone before divulging that kind of information. "I guess we all have a lot to learn when it comes to using and controlling our powers." Izzy paused. "So I wonder what we're supposed to be doing now. Think we have to stay in our rooms or what?"

She had just finished saying this when she heard a loudspeaker outside the door to their room, announcing dinner. Izzy raised her eyebrows at Hope. "I guess that answers that question. I think I'll head down there. You coming?"
