I also believe that just because you are here legally because a past administration allowed you here doesn't mean you have a right to be permanently here.
I believe that most of the people that Biden allowed to come in the long "caravans" should likely be deported if they did not immediately apply for (and were granted) asylum, especially if they've only been here for a matter of months. The previous administration allowed far more people in than we could possibly handle. Many tried to sneak in right before Trump took office simply because they knew business would be back to normal.

I think due process of IMMIGRATION law should be followed. Which is far different than other Criminal statutes.

I dont care if you have no criminal history. Being an illegal immigrant is enough, because that in and if itself makes you a criminal.
I acknowledge that every person who intentionally crosses the border illegally has committed a crime. There are many who do try to become citizens, though. I've read of some who are literally days (or perhaps weeks) away from either finalizing the citizenship process or from their asylum hearing. I believe those individuals should either be fast-tracked through the courts or permitted to stay until those are completed.

My opinion is that we should be focusing on criminals and those uninterested in working first (and, obviously, any who might be rioting and causing strife.) I do feel somewhat bad for those individuals who are actively working, trying to better themselves in our country, but they did it the wrong way.

I've met a lot of decent, hard-working people who were here illegally. They weren't "bad people" - they did, however, enter the US the wrong way and really should have tried to correct that mistake.

The Bible says we are to follow the law of the land. The law says it is illegal to live here if you're not a citizen, unless certain conditions are met. Running across the border in secret, never applying for citizenship, etc - these are not showing respect to the US or to God's law. Yes, we should be merciful, but things need to be done in the proper manner.

Yeah that’s naturally all going to get way more attention than the thousands of protesters who were there at the same time just holding signs and walking peacefully in solidarity.
According to liberal posters on this thread there were only about 1,000 or less people involved.
Where are these thousands you're talking about?

There were many protests against the Trump administration and ICE deportations in multiple cities across the country this past weekend and many more are planned for next weekend. Thousands of protesters.

Of course you only hear about the one that resulted in a riot because that’s the only protest you can use to make hay.

This is just one march from one location to the federal building on Saturday.

A boisterous but peaceful crowd that police estimated at about 8,000 people took to the streets of Los Angeles on Saturday to protest the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States.

I don't have to make anything out of it, the rioters have taken care of that

Thousands upon thousands of people all across the country are peacefully voicing their disapproval of this administration and its targeted harassment of immigrant communities. You can’t simply vote away the anger and hostility this administration is causing.

Too bad they can't keep away the people who will take advantage of the situation and cause destruction and looting

So it's not Trump's fault for doing what's right.
There are right ways to do this. If they were followed then you'd get no complaints. It would even get the tick of approval from me. But trampling on the constitution, not allowing due process, massively overreacting, sending the NG in when it's not Trump's call and even prepping Marines...? It's the actions of a fool.

You mean the wall that never got built because pushovers abandoned the project?
Haven't you been pointing out that illegal immigration is substantially down these last few months? I'd stay clear of any discussions about any wall if I were you. It just emphasises the fact that Trump lied to you
