"One Flew Over The Coockoo's Nest" (1976)

I was born in 1937 so I can't even name Gone With the Wind..I'll name the original version of Les Miserables made in 1935.
Wait, is that the 1935 or 1934 film? I only know the 1934 film and always though that one was considered the best treatment of the book. Maybe I have to check out the other one as well...

RE: Les Miserables (the movie) --The 1935 version with Fredric March and Charles Laughton is the one I liked. I got a copy of it recently in a collection and they listed it as 1934 (their mistake) because you are right, I rechecked and it is 1935. There was a 1934 version too but I think it may have been foreign.

Anyway, here is info on the version I saw which I think is quite good. There was yet another one done in the 50's with Michael Rennie..not so good and also one recently with Liam Niesom..neither as good as the Fredric March, Charles Laughton one..I didn't think. And, of course, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is the greatest!

Here is more info about the 1935 (Hollywood) version. If you google Les Miserables (1934) you can read about that too. Enjoy.
