My question is, Is God inspiring these moderators to decide what can and cannot be talked about on this forum, God gave us a brain to use, and a mouth to speak, fingers to type. Americans are supposed to have freedom of speech, Yet we don't have the freedom to even discuss our own spirituality or question ones beliefs. What harm is being committed by conversation??? NONE so what are people afraid of???:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

hi sft,

Well, since you don't identify yourself as a believer your posts are subject to deletion on any board that is for 'christians only'. You are sometimes free to respond to posts, but not to open any discussions. Usually when the moderators remove a post they will send you a PM to tell you why it was done. Perhaps reading them would help. Just because you are making posts or responding in a non-negative way, if you're on a 'christian only' board, then you are in violation of the rules and all of your posts are subject to removal. Whether they will be removed is up to the discretion of the moderator of that board.

God bless you.
In Christ, Ted

You have a right to say whatever you want to say, what you don't have is a right to break the forum rules. This is not America, it is the internet. As a community it has the right to set the rules it's communicants must abide by, just like a country does, please rememebr also that any person's admittance to the community is an act of their own will, by which they agree to abide by the rules of the community.

Forum rules and of course prejudices and personal desires trump the constitution in regards to Moderators. In other words they have the freedom to make what ever rule they want, enforce it against who they want or not at all or make rules as they go without warning and most of it has nothing to do with righteousness so get used to it.

From some of your posts I've read I conclude that you, instead of being as your screen name claims, "Searching For Truth," would be better called, "Disingenuous." You ask questions, with preconceived ideas already in place and argue your way around everyone's responses. The moderators do this "forum" thing day in and day out. They've seen folks like you before. You need to humble yourself before the Lord and become a REAL searcher for truth.

My opinion.

And yet we all attack a person that merely seeks to 'rightfully divide the word if truth'

Everyone has a preconceived notion in their minds before entering a debate, and this is why we must be able to openly discuss, even to the point of a heated debate. Remember, no man can no all truth, so to come to the truth we must 'reason together within scripture'.

Now if the forum has rules to posting such as listing your denomination or something like that, then it obviously must be followed. But we should all be allowed worship 'in spirit and in truth'

To be honest I came questioning, but now I believe I know the truth... I found another forum were one is free to speak, Question, and have an opinion. between all the conversations between both sites and lots of reading of the scripture its clear to me that prior to me being willing to be open minded I read the bible with blinders on so that I would only understand it to say what I was told it meant. Now When I read it with an open mind and without prejudice, things seem very apparent and clear.

I by no means claim to have a full understanding of the bible or spirituality as it is a life long journey to enlightenment which will only be reached when you are accepted into the Glory of God by the grace of God through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...

Be careful about talking about moderator PMs in the public forums. They frown on that.

Anyway, you are learning an important lesson in life. In many places, there are rules, and as aggravating and inhibiting-to-Self's-expression as it is, sometimes people in charge insist that we abide by them! :)

There's nothing wrong with questioning one's beliefs, as long as one is also trying to find answers to those questions and willing to accept them when found.

Why don't you name just two subjects that we can discuss that have caused you to move from a previously held position on a Christian doctrine and you now have a different view.

Please state your previous view and your new view, with reasons for your new view.

However, please remember that this thread is in a directory for "Christians only". Do you consider yourself a Christian?

If so, how would you describe how a person can become a Christian?

Sincerely, Oz

Well let me begin by saying I don't claim to be of any organization. Jesus didn't say, follow me and I will make you Christians. Now if you take the word for what it means I would consider myself a Christian by definition. Meaning I believe in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, I do believe he is of God not made but not begotten by definition meaning God didn't procreate nor did He make Jesus. Jesus is of Gods heart. Jesus is God in the sense that we are our parents, we are 50% our father 50% our mother. Jesus being of God without mother makes him 100% of God so God in that manner but not one in the same. I could also say by definition I am a Muslim in that I turn my life over to God. although I dont claim to be a part of the Muslim organization.

I have learned that there is a lot more to what we say when we say what we say. Words have meaning, definitions and its easy to play with words to change the true meaning of what we say. I believe that words have been played with when it comes down to doctrine and religion thus why I don't want to associate with any organization. I believe each different religion plays with the scriptural words in order to fit what there doctrine teaches. otherwise there wouldn't be so many religions, denominations, doctrines, or expectations.

I believe if there was a true religion there would only be one. There is One God, One mankind, there should be One religion that teaches the truth for enlightenment, in order to grow closer to God. One Truth!!!

All the religions and doctrines and trickery with the scripture has caused mass confusion, it has caused wars, it has turned people away from God and our true purpose, it has given certain people the power to brain wash the weaker minds into believing there doctrines. It has caused one to really search and seek for the truth. It has made it almost impossible for one to truly have confidence in what they believe. It has made our chance for enlightenment that much further to grasp. One can be strong in there belief such as one can be deeply brain washed,

What is taught should be unanimous amongst all people trying to reach paradise.

I'm afraid that we may be so far gone that our only chance is our will and hunger to want to be enlightened and Gods mercy on our souls. I don't believe anyone could find the whole truth as its been distorted little by little for thousands of years. I believe we can just try to do our best in following the teachings of Jesus and continually searching for enlightenment.

I hope I don't get the boot for this post as I was only trying to show you my view on what Ive been studying.

Please pay close attention to my use of the word BELIEVE and understand the definition of that word. By NO MEANS am I trying to say I know anything that I say I BELIEVE. To believe is to not know or have proof that it is but to feel in your heart that it is

Let me see if I got your view correctly.

1. What you have written above reads like you are an existential pluralist who does not believe that the Lord God Almighty is the one and only true God of the Christian faith who is NOT unique to the Judeo-Christian faith.
2. When you say, 'if there was a true religion, there would be only one,' are you proposing that there is only one religion in the world?
3. Your definition of Jesus is very confusing:
Is this the Jesus who is eternally God, was born of a virgin, was crucified and rose again for our justification? Was this Jesus also a Muslim?
4. You stated, "To believe is to not know or have proof that it is but to feel in your heart that it is". That makes you an existentialist. Your faith is not based in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ, but you have a feeling in your heart. What does that feel like? Couldn't you have that feeling without any involvement of the name or person of a Jesus.
I need you to clarify why you are not identifying with the orthodox doctrines of Christianity.

Sincerely, Oz

sounds to me like you are taking all religions and trying to bundle them all the make one true religion, you say, there would be only one true, I say there is only one true, most folks says all religions will lead us to God, Jesus said He was The Way, If all religions lead us to God then all religions must except all other religions as truth, this can't be. when Jesus said the No man cometh unto the Father/God but by Him. then He is not accepting other religions unless they accept Him, therefore all religions are not the same. Muslims say they have the way to God. the musilms consider Christians as infidels, and this is accepted in the world view, But let a Christian say that muslims are lost and we must accept other relgions. but let me say this you can not be a muslim and Call Jesus Christ. Lord and Saviour, or you can't at least by my understanding of what a muslim is. so all religions can't have the truth, and say that all religions lead us to God. gor if one says that they are the only way, then all other religion are truth and the one is false. thus making the doctrine "that all religions will lead us to God" just one more big fat lie, straight out of the gates of hell, to decieve people!

It might interest you to know that there has been a one world religion one other time, at the time of Nimrod and his kingdom in the land which later became Babylon. The practices of this kingdom led to the establishment of what became known as the mystery religions, pagan religions, some of which are still practiced today:

Genesis 11:2,4
2 It came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.
4 They said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."

and there will be one again.
Revelation 13:7-8, 14
7 It was also given to him (the beast, the antichrist) to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
14 And he (the false prophet) deceives those who dwell on the earth ... telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast ...

There is such a push for the very thing you advocate that as a student of the Bible it should scare you if you are truly listening to the signs of the times. Many elements are trying as hard as they can to move us toward a one-world common religion supposedly around god. When it comes, and it will, its results will be as predicted.

Notice the end result of this one world religion:

Revelation 13:15,17
15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

What would you say is our one true purpose? Those who lived in the time of Nimrod thought they knew the one true purpose. And those who are alive today think they know this one true purpose. I am interested in what you see it to be.

What about the issue of homosexuality, which the Bible soundly condemns: in your common religion, would you expect all people to adhere to what the Bible teaches? Or would you be more realistic, looking at the trend today, and say that since in the world there is a growing trend to accept and even advocate homosexuality as being ok, that this would be one of the doctrines of your one-world religion?

My friend, if you will be patient, this religion of which you search will become a reality. And the neat thing is, there will be only one man to tell you what to believe or what any scripture of any holy book means - the antichrist himself.

"Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?" Rev 13:4b

And in the end, do you know who they will be serving and worshiping?
"they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast,..." Rev 13:4a

In your response to me at #18 you created a straw man argument. You invented stuff about which I did not speak. Let's take a couple of examples only (I do not have the time to reply to them all).
When I go to an historical document (I consider that the Bible is based in history and records historical information - but that's another topic), I listen to what that document states. Then I test it to see if it is true.

I have no reason to reject the Bible's description of Jesus' virgin birth, Christ's death, burial and bodily resurrection. These things are 'proven' through methods of historical method. When I use the historical method on the Bile, I find that it is confirmed to be an historically reliable document. For the Gospels, Craig Blomberg has documented this in a substantive way in The Historical Reliability of the Gospels (Inter-Varsity Press 1987).

Then you stated:
Not once did I say anything that sounded like that. You have erected a straw man logical fallacy. In fact, you are telling me something about your presuppositions. You don't seem to want to prove the historical reliability and truth of the Bible. I'm writing a PhD dissertation in NT that works extensively with the historical method. But this "100% true "stuff is coming out of your mind and not mine. It's a straw man.

You wrote:
Again this is your invention. Have you seen the 20,000 scrolls to prove that no two of them is identical? Is it true that you have not personally inspected all 20,000 of these scrolls?

Again your presuppositions dominate your quote. You say that "according to archeological evidence these people didn't even exist". These two archaeologists prove that your statement is WRONG:

• Alfred J Hoerth 1998. Archaeology and the Old Testament. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Baker Books.
• John McRay 1991. Archaeology and the New Testament. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Baker Book House
That's another straw man! Your invention!
It seems that you are having this "feeling" towards a God that you have invented. How do I gain this understanding? From the way you denigrated the Scriptures in your post indicates that you don't regard the God who revealed himself in the Scriptures to be the one true God. He has to be the God you can 'feel'. Which God/god?

Sincerely, Oz
