You need to accept that this likely has little do with COVID and likely, A LOT MORE to do with the affordability of the American Health care system. Compare data around the world (because COVID went everywhere NOT just the US). If you don't seen a SIMILAR death rate in other countries, it is...YET MORE EVIDENCE that the American method of providing healthcare is a LETHAL method and not a healthful one.
Let's look at their example of Indiana:
I'm sorry but I don't think a 3.3% shift is ANYWHERE NEAR statistically relevant enough. to look at huge problems. In terms of the backlog of death certificates, why would that not have something to do with having sufficient employees doing the work; it's almost literally the same amount of work from one hear to the net.
Do you remember ALL the....what, hundreds of times people mentioned "long covid"? There was PLENTY of data suggesting that it affected up to 30% of those who got COVID. And, beautifully, I imagine the illnesses coming up are often directly related to that.
But instead, the vaccine is going to be blamed because, heaven forbid anyone changes their baseless opinions based on scientific research.
Here is CDC data for all sources:
