These restrictive policies were ineffective and devastating failures, causing immense harm especially to the poorer and vulnerable within societies.

If youre not confident a source is reliable, just avoid them. And avoid referring other people to them. Thats not genetic fallacy. Its just a reasonable way of going through life.

Whether they are worth looking at is a question of how many hours you have in your day and what standards are reasonable to see that they arent wasted every time somebody fronts a claim.

I would be very surprised if every intervention had positive value. Especially given how the lack of vaccine cooperation pretty much assures backsliding for any temporary achievement.
