just wanted to add my church's beliefs and scripture lookup.

Our Beliefs

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a trustworthy guidebook for life. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 30:5, 6; John 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 4:12)

God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are co-eternal, one in purpose, yet three individual Persons. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Timothy 1:17; John 14:9-21)

God is the Creator who made the heavens and the earth and all things in them, including man. (Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11; Psalm 19:1-4; Psalm 33:6, 9; John 1:1-4; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 14:6, 7)

The world is the battleground of a war between God and Satan (good and evil) and their followers. (Revelation 12:7-12; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:14-17; Genesis 3 & 6-8; Romans 1:18-32; Ephesians 6:10-18)

Through disobedience to God, man sinned and became separated from God. (Genesis 3; Psalm 51:3-5; Romans 5:12-19; 3:23 & 6:23)

God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to come live, die, and rise again from death, so that anyone who would trust Him would be reconciled to God and receive the assurance of eternal life.
(John 3:16, 17 & 14:6; Isaiah 53; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 & 15:3-5; Acts 2:21; Romans 3:22-26; 6:23; 10:9-11; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 John 5:11-13)

Accepting Jesus' gift of eternal life is publicly demonstrated by baptism by immersion and marks the beginning of a new birth and life in Christ.
(Mark 16:16; Matthew 3; Mark 1:9; Luke 3:21, 22; Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:3-8; Acts 2:38; 8:12, 26-39; 9:17, 18; 19:4, 5; 22:16; Romans 6:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Galatians 3:26) 2:20)

The Holy Spirit empowers us to obey God's Word (especially the Ten Commandments, including the seventh-day Sabbath) in Christ-centered community.
(John 14:15-17; Romans 12: 1, 2; 8:9-16; Colossians 1:10-13; Exodus 20:1-17; Isaiah 8:20; Ezekiel 20:11, 12, 19, 20; Revelation 12:17; 14:12)

God desires us to live simply, humbly and healthfully, honoring our bodies and minds as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 12:1, 2; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20; 10:31-33; 2 Corinthians 10:4, 5; 6:16; 7:1; Ephesians 5:1-20; Philippians 4:8; 1 Peter 3:3, 4; 1 John 2:6; Leviticus 11; 3 John 2)

The gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gift of prophecy, are given to members of Christ's Body to build one another up, carry out ministry, and bring others to Jesus.
(Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:9-11, 27, 28; Ephesians 4:8, 11-16; Acts 6:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:1-3; 1 Peter 4:10, 11; Joel 2:28, 29; Acts 2:14-21; Revelation 12:17; 19:10)

God invites us to cheerfully and generously use our influence, effort, time and finances to share Jesus with others and build up His Body.
(Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15; 1 Chronicles 29:14; Haggai 1:3-11; Malachi 3:8-12; 1 Corinthians 9:9-14; Matthew 23:23; Romans 15:26, 27; 2 Corinthians 8:1-15)

God wants us to share with everybody the good news of Jesus' salvation and soon coming. (Matthew 28:19, 20; Ephesians 3:7-12; Acts 2:22-24, 32, 33, 37-41; Jude 3, 14; 2 Peter 3:9-14)

Jesus will soon finish His work of judgment in the heavenly sanctuary and will return physically, visibly and audibly for those who love and trust Him, that they may live with Him throughout eternity.
(Hebrews 8:1, 2; 9:11-14; 10:19-25; Revelation 14:6, 7; Daniel 7:9, 10, 13, 14, 27; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21; 2 Peter 3:3-13; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 19:11-16; 22:7, 12-14)

The first death is temporary, like an unconscious sleep; the spirit (“breath of life”, life-source, personality, character) goes back to God, and the person perishes, awaiting resurrection when Christ returns. Those who have loved and trusted Him (both those who have died and those still alive) will return to heaven with Him.
(Genesis 2:7; 3:1-4, 17-19; Romans 6:23; Ecclesiastes 9:4-6; Psalm 146:3, 4; John 11:11-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; Colossians 3:4; John 14:1-3; Revelation 21-22)

When Jesus Christ returns to earth, those who did not trust Christ during their lives will remain on earth in a state of death, and Satan and his demons will be bound for a thousand years. After a thousand years in heaven, Christ and His people will return with the New Jerusalem, the wicked dead will rise, Satan will deceive them and lead them in an attack against God and God's people in the New Jerusalem, as the righteous glory of God is unveiled it will consume sin, sinners, Satan and his demons in a lake of fire (this event is referred to as hell), resulting in eternal and final death and bringing to a final end sin and all of its pain and destruction.
(John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9; Jeremiah 4:23-26; Malachi 4:1-3; Ezekiel 28:18, 19)

God will create a new heavens and a new earth where people will live with Him and one another forever in perfect love, harmony and joy and worship God for eternity. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1-22:5; Isaiah 35:4-10; 65:17-25; 66:22, 23; Revelation 15:2-4)
