so we are going to purchase our very first flat screen TV, and a nice Cherry wood tv stand for our living room

we have been trying to decide which brand, how many inches, etc...decisions decisions

looks like we've narrowed it down to either a 37", 40" or 42" TV

now the question is,do we want a bigger screen or a better quality tv?

as of right now my hubby is leaning toward a 37" Vizio, actually here is the link to the exact tv. if any of you know alot about tvs, (which we do not), could you tell me if this looks like a good deal?

you need a pretty big tv that far away or binoculars.

It may be better to buy something a little taller if kids are going to sit in front of it so you can see over their heads. The viewing guide says you need a 52 inch at least for 19 feet away

ok hold on let me look at this, my parents have a 37 inch and it seems so huge to us..but they sit only 12 feet from the screen...

right now we only have tube tv's in our house and the biggest one is 27", no wonder my eyes are so strained and no wonder i rarely watch tv....lol
