It's hard to believe the world being worse in the days of Noah than they are right now.

Not really hard to believe as technology makes it a lot easier for evil to spread using media can get messages on the other side of the globe within a fraction of a second either truth or lies and instead of coming through layers of people and organizations who can stop an evil message or dilute it to the point it is known and harmless.

I believe scripture relates a time when men will call evil good and good evil, we are seeing that today in politics and now character and morality is only a crutch to one a battering ram to another and a way to hide evil in plain sight.

I'm wondering just how bad it was in the days of Noah.

It was very very bad..... worse than it is today but we are heading that way like a bullet train. Imagine how evil people can be that are allowed to live hundreds of years instead of perhaps 80 or so

Imagine the worst leaders/dictators allowed to rule for 100 years and indoctrinating dozens of generations of followers who the world would be. I think the bible explains why God shortened mans lifetime (years) is to reduce the impact of evil people living that long

If you could imagine people who were the worst pirates, merciless communist dictators, serial killers who never got caught, and politicians who get incredibly rich like todays billionaires able to influence the world living hundreds of years without death to reign in their activities. Imagine going on social security at the age of 700... instead of 67

When I feel healthy and my mind is clear I could see living 1000 years as days seem to go faster and faster the older you get

A few people did..... we don't know for sure if only people who loved God lived that long and others lived a lot less long but for sure we had people living several hundred years back then. Even living let's say 200-300 years could make things a mess in our age. Imagine the founding fathers still being alive today and figures from WWI and II still being alive or other earlier figures like Genghis Khan and Alexander still living today.
If people lived hundreds of years then they would make excuses to allow politicians to stay in some office with term limits.... endlessly like presidents and governors. The fact people grow old in less than 100 years to the point they are no longer able to do things that they did even at middle age near the last 10% of their lives a person that is 200 years old that could live to 300 has a long time left to either do great good... or terrible evil

Imagine if Rome never fell today we would probably not have anywhere near the technology we have today because there would be no wars and competition between "good" and less good or "evil" nations for supremacy.
People may not like wars but often that is one thing that has greatly improved lives as development of war machines and things to help win battles trickles down to everyone a better boat or jeep and better airplanes like jets made travel possible as it is today.

yeah she is one of the "younger" folk here lately. I grew up in my youth listening to 60s and some 50s songs on the radio.... and there was disco in high school.

One of the ancient Hoyer lifts broke today and the woman on it had to get six staples in her head. I wish her relatives would sue as maybe the owners would shell out money for much needed upgrades.

Often people who own property that rent it don't budget upgrades at all when they should. They wait till something can no longer be repaired to act.

The aides are afraid they'll just try to repair that lift...again.
