More Bad News for Trump

Might turn out to be the dialogue of two corrupt guys who wanted some insurance if they ever got arrested. Seems to be working out for them.

If that's the case then maybe Trump should stop blocking access to the thousands of additional documents relating to this case so this issue can be cleared up. An innocent man would want to release information that would clear his name don't you think? It seems to me that only a guilty man would go to the extremes Trump has to withhold requested evidence from being presented (Article II: Obstructing Congress).

With the release of these documents the evidence is now overwhelming that that Trump was looking into the Bidens for personal gain (Article I: An abuse of power). The letter from Giuliani alone is evidence of that. It's also pretty obvious why Trump has been blocking the release any documents to aid in the investigation (Article II: Obstructing Congress).

Impeachment aside, these newly released documents show that the Ukraine prosecutor offered information about to Biden in exchange for removing the US ambassador, a Republican running for a seat in Congress offered to pay someone to "take care" of that same US Ambassador for Trump, all the while his personal attorney was setting up meetings with the soon to be president of Ukraine on behalf of Trump. That is not the way America does things and it's totally unacceptable.

The Washington Post has reported that in April 2018 at a small fundraising dinner in a suite at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, Parnas told Trump that the US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, was unfriendly to him and his interests. Trump, according to the Post report, which cited people familiar with Parnas' account of the event, suggested that Yovanovitch should be fired.
A year later in May 2019, Yovanovitch was recalled from her post.

...which is ironic, given Guliani and his associates mounted a media campaign against the Ambassador....Trump Jr was involved as well.

It's clear they wanted to get rid of the B_____, as one official called her, because her and other people of proven integrity got in their way.

More Bad News for Trump

If McConnell and the Senate Republicans think that by refusing to call witnesses and subpoena documents they can put a lid on this investigation, they are delusional!

The truth will eventually emerge with or without their cooperation, and should the Republican majority in the Senate dispense with this "trial" in all haste, how are they going to able to justify their decision in the 8-9 months before the 2020 Election as it becomes increasingly apparent that this President is guilty on all counts!

Bolton's testimony will probably come out in book form before the election, and as an ever growing number of Trump surrogates face the prospects of prosecution and jail time, they should take a long hard look at the current circumstances of Michael Cohen, Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn when deciding how much is their loyalty to this President worth, in terms of jail time and/or personal bankruptcy!
