Lilly is continuing other clinical trials in patients who aren't hospitalized, and as prophylaxis in high-risk individuals in nursing homes, so there is still hope it might help if given earlier.

The Regeneron MAB showed some preliminary activity in non-hospitalized patients - the failed trial of the Lilly MAB was in hospitalized patients, and might well be as good as the Regeneron one if given earlier. We'll have to wait for those results.

The plasma study you cite wasn't a placebo-controlled prospective trial, so it was pretty much worthless compared to the present one.

Can you tell me how your comment relates to the topic at hand? I used an acronym - MAB - which stands for monoclonal antibody. Any drug whose name ends in mab, such as Basiliximab, is an monoclonal antibody. Perhaps that is the source of confusion.
