'Monk,' '90210' Actor Stanley Kamel Found Dead in Home.

Stanley Kamel, who played Adrian Monk's long-suffering psychiatrist on the TV detective show "Monk," has died. He was 65.

Kamel was found dead of a heart attack in his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday by his agents, publicist Cynthia Snyder said in a statement.

Aw, bummer. That's really sad. I liked Kamel's portrayal of Dr. Kroger.
Just goes to show you, life is swift and fatal.

I hope he went quickly.

Now that begs the question of what they're going to do regarding Monk's psychiatrist on the show. Same character/Different actor? Geez, I hope not.

My bet is that they'll have Dr. Kroger be killed and Monk will have to solve the case. Everyone will think Dr. Kroger's son killed him, but it'll be someone entirely different.

That or they'll do what they did with his old assistant -- just remove have him move away for some random reason.

I more prefer they do the former than the latter. It really depends on what the producers/writers can quickly make up, as well as what the cast/crew feel up to doing.

Heaven knows Kamel's co-actors were caught off guard.
