• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

Modern day systemic racism, does it exist?

maybe judges throw the book at gangbangers. I don't see Asian Americans disproportionately committing crime and doing time. Where is the racism?

I've been to the ghetto. Everyone knows you don't talk to cops and police don't hang around risking their lives.

The more money you have, the better lawyers and defense you can afford. Blacks have on average less money so can’t afford the expensive lawyers many of the white people can afford. However even if economics were not the case; if the bias is due to crooked judges, lawyers, or other racist people in the justice system, that is not systemic racism, that is individuals within the system imposing racism. In order for systemic racism to be the problem, there has to be some law or policy in place that is racist.

Is there a policy in place requiring blacks to receive longer sentences than whites for the same crime? Or is this the result of crooked people going against the laws of the system in order to impose their personal racial biases?

I disagree. Black immigrants from the Diaspora (Africa, Caribbeans, Bahamas, South America, etc) out preform native blacks at the education and economic level (Actually Nigerians outperform white Americans) even though they are of the same race; I think culture is the main issue not race

So do they or do they not arrest people in the ghetto? If so, the police are there arresting them.

Black male offenders continued to receive longer sentences than similarly situated White male offenders. Black male offenders received sentences on average 19.1 percent longer than similarly situated White male offenders during the Post-Report period (fiscal years 2012-2016), as they had for the prior four periods studied. The differences in sentence length remained relatively unchanged compared to the Post-Gall period.

    Demographic Differences in Sentencing

I haven't chanted anything. Like I said they can go through the process other immigrants go through.

.My point was there is not a high police presence there. Cops don't sit on the corners of the guetto.

Keep ignoring the studies if you must. I understand.

Why do you think that is? (I keep asking but you refuse to answer...could it be...nah, you wouldn't actually think THAT would you? Nah...or is it?)

You would have to understand stats first.

You COULD read the articles, but again, you'd have to understand a lot of the heavier math concepts. Sorry 'bout that.

19 percent? That could be explained in any number of possible situations besides systemic racism. They also have more systemic, i mean disproportionate gang activity.

Keep ignoring the fact that disproportionate crime means disproportionate time.

Gang activity for one. People in the ghetto can't call the cops like other people because they will become a target. Gang activity is a primary reason for black americans being killed and incarcerated.
