I see Guzman had a good game last night going yard 3 times and seems to be breaking out of his slump with 6 hits over his last 2 games. I had been tempted to talk bad about Guzman but the kid over at Nolan writtin was doing it so why pile on.

Evis also had another good night and seems to be getting back (except for HRs) to where he ended last year (5th best SS in the league according to FanGraphs). I know he's said he isn't going to opt of his contract that he wants to retire with the Rangers, but you have to wonder if some team offers him an outrageous contract if he wouldn't bite.

Looks like Hutchinson is going to get another start tonight so you have to wonder how that's going to go. He's had mixed results with them in the past (when he was starting for Toronto) but their lineup has changed quite a bit the last 2-3 years so who knows how he will do. So the 6 man rotation is going to stay intact for at least one more turn.

The mainstay youngsters we have now I like how the future looks.

Yes I agree, you have to wonder who they will call up when the rosters expand in a couple of weeks. I would expect a lot of them to be pitchers but also a couple of position players like Trevino, Ibanez and Heineman.

Wow - these west coast Ranger games are too late for me -- I see we got blasted 9 to zip...

We are ONLY 20 games out of the Division lead - which Astros now share instead of owning outright

Maybe the Rangers will be a contender during the Millennium

That is true. But the Rangers in rebuild are testing out so much minor league and waiver wire retreads hoping to strike bronze. They are looking at who to invite to Spring Training. That's their focus now. Cactus league Spring training 2019.
