Ministry ? Glorified salesman ?

When you read some websites, it might go like this.

Colin, has a unique insight into the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which he delivers with Compassion and an unusual love. He holds a BA, MAA, and PHD in such and such, he is in demand all over the world...etc etc.

Do we really need the promotion, build up and hype.

Why not say.

Colin - available for ministry, when he's not otherwise ministering - He's like/replicates Jesus.

Because (and I think it's unfortunate) too many people have been programmed to think a person's qualifications for "ministry" include how many degrees they have and from where. Some people won't attend a church if the pastor isn't a "doctor".

Mate, it's all about that piece of paper, that worldly qualification of practicality, that gives a licence to steal, destroy, and kill. It's the "wiles of the enemy".

Yes, many go to Bible college just to get some teaching, but as sad as it is, the teaching they get is only what the teacher thinks. But, there are few who get heart knowledge out of attending college.

Yes, they even charge for counselling these days. What ever happen to "freely receive, freely give!"

The Body of Christ has been in multi-level marketing business for a decade and a half now, and look at what a mess it's in now.

Get back to HIS REAL WORD, and the real meaning of His Word, and all this STUFF will disappear---maybe!

We do advise however, that you wear comfortable shoes and bring an extra sweater; as we may very well all end up marching out of the facilities and on to the streets to share our Lord and Saviour with those who are passing by. When God said, It is by their fruit you will know them, I don't think he meant by their qualifications you will know them.
