Maybe this is secular morality reduced to it's lowest common denominator. The very few get together and enrich themselves at the expense of the many. In this case here in the U.S., we 300 million are the many.

Is "thou shalt build thy own satellites" written in the Bible or something?

Even if it did, if this is secular moralities lowest form it's still doing much better than religion... considering it's past.

(I know lowest common denominator might not mean that, but I don't know how it is being used here).
