As Wilma crashes over Florida on an apparent rendezvous track with tropical storm Alpha to the east, forming the second "Perfect Storm" under a Bush Presidency, is God sending messages through the weather disasters (including Katrina / Rita) to leave Israel alone? And now to return Gaza to its rightful owners...

Bush 41 was also tinkering / arm twisting Israel to begin negotiating land for peace deals when the fisrt Super Storm trashed his Kinnebunkport, Maine home.

Bush 43, is God sending you a message?

You don't think a postcard would be less ambiguous than sending the same storms he has always sent across that part of the world?

This makes God look like the sort of person that sends letter-bombs.

JohnD,
nearly everyone on this forum does not think God would punish the US. They make some good points, but they don't understand that no one is "innocent". Therefore, no nation should think they are exempt from God's discipline. Natural disasters are not always a form of punishment, but rather to keep the environment in a state of homeostasis.

Are the hurricanes a form of punishment...who can say. But I can say the apparent naive attitude to God's wrath, punishment, and discipline displayed by many Americans (I am American) on this website is alarming. Who are we to think we should not be disciplined. Have we as a society not strayed from Christ. Example: Abortion, Pornography, Homosexuality, Corrupt Church Leaders,...and the beat goes on bah da bah da dada.

I don't deny that it's possible - God has the ability to do it. BUT - if He is doing it I would think his motives & actions would be clear. There wouldn't be this, "Did he or didn't he?". Otherwise, what's the point? If nobody knows that he did it then nobody will learn from it - that isn't discipline, IMO. IF God did mean these things as a "wrath" or a form of discipline - then he missed his mark because nobody got the msg - he didn't make his msg known.

That is why I don't think these hurricane's are God's Wrath.

Maybe - have you? If so, what have you heard? And from who?

I"ve been listening. I've been praying. I've heard nothing.

Christians are so quick to pull the trigger on, "It's God's Wrath for....." that they don't stop to think that mabye it's not God at all. Maybe it's.......nature. Mabye it's......just chance. And then here comes Satan using this natural event - this THING that just happened, to stir doubt into peoples minds. That is also possible.

I defiently think it may only be nature; as I pointed out in my earlier post. But the bible also speaks of "birth pains" and natural disasters. Katrina was one of the worst natural disasters to hit America, thousands of people died in last years sunomie (spelling...sorry), and I've heared that the death toll in Pakistan from the earthquake is around 30,000.

Those are pretty dramatic events/numbers.

I have heard something which I posted in the Dreams and Visions forum. Others have too. But...turn on your TV and listen to what they are saying. I'm sorry I'm probably not explaining myself clearly. My point is, I think a lot of us, I know I am one, have become TOO used to the slander on TV. For example, "The Daily Show" on comedy central. I was watching it one night and they had a short feature where they basically made fun of Christianity and slandered Christ. I mean SLANDERED Christ. And they thought it was funny...so did everyone in the audience. I don't want to sound like my grandfather, but 50 years ago their would have been a mob waiting outside the studio to tar-and-feather the actors and the producers of the show.

We put up with way too much of this kind of behavior in our entertainment, in our government, and even in our schools. Our society, for the most part as a whole, has drifted from the path. Look at the music you listen to. Does it use profanity? Is it sexually explicit? This is not a sinless society or a sinless nation we are living in. Check out the book of Amos. It is a short book and one of the vereses speaks directly to Christ and natural disasters. I'm afraid you won't like what you find, but it is the truth.

I agree with Gutterrat. I don't think the hurricanes are Gods wrath, and here's why. In every Biblical account where Gods Wrath was poured out on a nation that nation was pretty much done for. The only nation in fact that managed not to be flattened was the Israelite Nation and God had a promise and covenant with them, just as he has a covenant with the Christians that are living in America, so I think that America will not be completely flattened when Gods wrath does come.

Besides 22 hurricanes is not the worst that can happen to the US. Scientists are now calculating that the Wasatch Mountain range (which runs from South east Idaho, near Soda Springs all the way down into the Rockie Mountains in Colorado I believe) is going to have a category 5-6 earthquake within the next 50-100 years(http://www.seis.utah.edu/qfacts/utfaq.shtml),

There's a huge volcano that could erupt under Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/yvo/), though from what I saw on the Discovery Channel the chances of that happening in the next thousand years is something like 1 in google, but scientists have been wrong before, and I guess if the thing explodes it would spread ash all the way to New York state.

We have global warming which has increased the temperature over the oceans creating more hurricanes that could devistate the south(not to mention melt the ice caps and make the oceans rise so they cover all of the eastern states to Kentucky).

There's also the possibility of an active volcano in Africa creating such a huge land slide that it will create a tsunami which will wipe out the eastern coast(http://armageddononline.tripod.com/tsunamis.htm), and those are only natural disasters which could probably only be birth pangs of the earth, but could also be the complete realization of Gods wrath. Either way 22 hurricanes as opposed to all that? America is still standing, proud and arrogant as ever. It'll take more than 22 hurricanes and inflated gas prices to bring her to her knees. I mean for Israel it took raid, after raid, after famine, after drought, after raid, after war for her to get the message and she still hasn't got it! Assyria had to have a guy thrown up by a whale tell them where they went wrong, and even then the message stayed for about 60 years before she was flattened by her enemies. I think Gods been merciful personally, but that's just me

Anytime, something terrible happens in another land say like china or something, you call it an act of God, when something happens in america, everybody starts reading revelations and quoting daniel. This happens so much that I dont even read revelations anymore. Somebody give me a reason to read revelations again.

Major events Relating to Israel’s Covenant Land

1. October 30,1991: The Perfect Storm—As President
George H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid (Spain) Conference
to consider“land for peace” in Israel’s Middle East role,
the “perfect storm” develops in the North Atlantic, creating the
largest waves ever recorded in that region. The storm travels
1000 miles from “east to west” instead of the normal “west to east”
pattern and crashes into the New England Coast. Thirty-five
foot waves crash into the Kennebunkport home of President
G.H.W.
Bush.

2. August 23, 1992: Hurricane Andrew—When the Madrid
Conference moves to Washington DC and the peace talks
resume, Hurricane Andrew, the worst natural disaster ever to
hit America, comes ashore and produces an estimated $30
billion in damage and leaving 180,000 homeless in Florida.

3. January 16, 1994: Northridge Earthquake—President
Bill Clinton meets with Syria's President Hafez
el-Assad in Geneva. They talk about a peace agreement
with Israel that includes giving up the Golan Heights.
Within 24 hours, a powerful 6.9 earthquake rocks
Southern California, This quake, centered in
Northridge, becomes the second most destructive
natural disaster to hit the United States, behind
Hurricane Andrew,

4. January 21, 1998: Lewinsky Scandal—Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with President
Clinton at the White House and is coldly received.
Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright
refuse to have lunch with him. Shortly afterwards on
that day, the Monica Lewinsky scandal breaks into the
mass media and begins to occupy a major portion of
Clinton's time.

5. September 28, 1998: Hurricane George—As Secretary
of State Albright works on the final details of an
agreement in which Israel would give up 13 percent of
Yesha (Judah and Samaria), Hurricane George slams into
the United States Gulf Coast with 110 mph winds and
gusts up to 175 mph. The hurricane hits the coast and
stalled. On September 28, Clinton meets with Yasser
Arafat and Netanyahu at the White House to finalize
this land deal. Later, Arafat addresses the United
Nations about declaring an independent Palestinian
state by May 1999, as Hurricane George pounds the Gulf
Coast, causing $1 billion in damage. At the exact time
that Arafat departs the country, the storm begins to
dissipate.

6. October 15-22, 1998: Texas Flooded—On October 15,
1998, Arafat and Netanyahu meet at the Wye River
Plantation in Maryland. The talks are scheduled to
last five days with the focus on Israel giving up 13
percent of Yesha. The talks are extended and conclude
on October 23. On October 17, awesome rains and
tornadoes hit southern Texas. The San Antonio area is
deluged with rain. The rain and flooding in Texas
continue until October 22 and then subside. The floods
ravage 25 percent of Texas and leave over one billion
dollars in damage. On October 21, Clinton declares
this section of Texas a major disaster area.

7. November 30, 1998: Market Capitalization
Evaporates—Arafat comes to Washington again to meet
with President Clinton to raise money for a
Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital. A
total of 42 other nations were represented in
Washington. All the nations agreed to give Arafat $3
billion in aid. Clinton promised $400 million, and the
European nations $1.7 billion. On the same day, the
Dow Jones average drops 216 points, and on December 1,
the European Market had its third worst day in
history. Hundreds of billions of market capitalization
were wiped out in the U.S. and Europe.

8. December 12, 1998: Clinton is Impeached—As Clinton
lands in the Palestinian-controlled section of Israel
to discuss the “land for peace” process, the House of
Representatives votes four articles of impeachment
against him.

9. May 3, 1999: The Powerful Super Tornado—On the day
that Yasser Arafat is scheduled to declare a
Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital, the
most powerful tornado storm system ever to hit the
United States sweeps across Oklahoma and Kansas. The
winds are clocked at 316 mph the fastest wind speed
ever recorded. The declaration is postponed to
December 1999 at the request of President Clinton,
whose letter to Arafat encourages him in his
"aspirations for his own land." He also writes that
the Palestinians have a right to "determine their own
future on their own land" and that they deserve to
"live free, today, tomorrow and forever."

10. Week of October 11: Hurricane, Earthquake and Dow
Collapse—As Jewish settlers in 15 West Bank (Israel)
settlements are evicted from the covenant land in
Israel, the Dow-Jones financial averages lose 5.7
percent in the worst week since October 1989. On
October 15 the Dow lost 266 points, and a hurricane
slams into North Carolina. On the next morning,
October 16, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocks the
southwest in the fifth most powerful earthquake in
20th Century. The earthquake was centered in the
California desert and did little damage but was felt
in three states.

We don't really know if these are messages telling us to leave Israel alone, we don't know they aren't. We don't know if they're just "signs of the time" or just the earth warming up. Point is they could be anything. We can't stake our bets on it until it comes up and smacks us in the face, whether it's China suddenly becoming the new world power and destroying America or if it's a second ice age like in Day After Tomorrow. Only God knows for sure.

Something I want to ask is why is it that Palestine hasn't gotten any of these "Messages?" I mean they're the ones that came in over the centuries after Jerusalem fell in AD 70 (oddly enough the Roman Empire, the people that shoved Israel out for the third time or so in history didn't end until AD 476, 406 years after the fact.) I mean Israel just recently came back to the promised land in 1945...or was it 1954?
My point is America is not the only one trying to shove the Jews out of Israel. Palestine is doing it too, and thousands have done it before us, and none of them were socked time after time after time by natural disasters.

Including God Himself.

I'm afraid I must disagree with you on that point about "God Himself" trying to shove the Jews out of Israel. If you clearly read the bible, it perfectly states that God shall bring back the Jews from amongst the nations, back to Israel. And there's been reports that a huge number of Jews have already started to make their way back to Israel.

This Prophecy is taking place in front of our eyes and once again as usual, people fail to see it, as they have with regards of the Coming of Elijah before christ returns, and other events as well.!!
