"Hello my children" is a dead giveaway also.

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

After all ...

John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

Also from the link:
"We knew the patterns weren't naturally occurring," explains Charles Watson, the lead scientist on the project, "but we couldn't come up with any convincing explanation for them.
Pssst: That's because you're modern scientists, guys. You wouldn't know a message from DNA no more than you would know a message if the stones cried out ...

Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

... or if God shouted it down to you, Himself ...

John 12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

... or if the Bible said it in English!

You're scientists, guys! That says it all!

(I like this thread! :))

From the link:
"On a whim, we started cross referencing the patterns with language databases," he explains, "and we were shocked to find that the patterns corresponded to ancient Aramaic."
Should the recipients of our SETI signals be "shocked" as well?

It's okay to shoot signals out into space, but getting a message "shocks" you?

Scientists are hyp... um ... ironic.

"The findings will be published in the journal Nature next month, and are expected to provoke the biggest scientific controversy since Charles Darwin published his theory of natural selection in 1859."

Don't you mean the biggest scientific controversy since Jesus rose from the dead?

Or at least since John 9?

Charles Darwin's natural selection is nothing more than a Sudoku puzzle next to that.

(Or a game of connect-the-dots.)
