I spent Memorial day weekend performing with my band at a Lifeway Christian biker rally. We were blessed to perform Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night in one of the most beautiful venues in the world. On Sunday morning we assembled 300 motorcycles/bikers, with police escort we rode to a veterans memorial grave yard. Once there a special reef was placed and speakers spoke beautifully and tearful words. My limited ability to use words to describe this special time leaves me to ask you to visualize this scene.
I was chosen to ride in the front group. I met and rode with one of the blackhawk down survivors. Some members of his group gave me a book based on Psalms 91. This little book was dedicated to our current President Bush. Last night I had a chance to begin reading this book. A need for sleep overcame my desire to read it cover to cover, but I will finish it tonight.
We are losing our way. The I/me culture is destroying what 40 million veterans have built. Out of 40 million 3,400 have received the highest honor our Nation can offer. How many can you name?
Psalms 91 sets up the ultimate question for every believer. What is your shelter?
