And US outlets sell them for a huge profit....

The rich literally lives on the back of the poor.

In order to do conduct business righteously, the wages you give to workers must be justified and this is a lot higher than worldly standards.

And if you do business in such manner, you can't be a lot richer than anyone else. You may become rich but not crazy rich as world does it, motivated by greed and loves money more than God.

The Bible refers to money as "unrighteous wealth". This is why. Most money is gained through taking advantage of other people's weaknesses.

Unfortunate to say the least. What is more unfortunate is that if her family is poor enough to send her to work there, she very well may have been sold into prostitution if the Hanes factory or similar work was not available. Many girls like her were when child labor laws were in effect there.

OK?

The unfortunate realities of Bangladeshi children returning to prostitution in the wake of increased pressure to get them out of the factories is well documented. Check the sources on this article.

....it's a race to the bottom (of the labor market)...fueled, in part, by aggressive mega-retailers such as Walmart who apply a lot of cost pressure on their suppliers:

....from 2008:

This week Hanes (HBI, Hanesbrands Inc) announced that it was abandoning four production plants in North Carolina, and five more in Central America. Chasing cheap labor, the Hanes jobs will shift to Thailand and Vietnam. According to MarketWatch, Hanes is attempting to lower costs to remain competitive, “and answering to the demands of retailers such as No. 1 discounter Wal-Mart Stores Inc.”

.....

Hanes plant closings will throw 8,100 workers out of their jobs. 16% of those lost jobs—-1,345 workers—-live in North Carolina. The other 6,750 workers are in Central America. Since the Autumn of 2006, when Hanes split from Sara Lee, the manufacturer has shuttered nearly 30 plants—a third of them in its home state.

Frankly, anyone can find problems all over the world. But, show us answers. It is just a simple fact that clothing made in the USA would be so expensive that hardly anyone could buy it.

And, the treatment of people anywhere has to do with the attitude of the country.... not the fact that they are making items sold here.

A perfect example!

A race to the bottom is exactly it, they are leaving central America, to get at the $20 a month slave salary in Bangaladesh.

Those 1,300 workers in North Carolina are now out of a job, and replaced with a $20 a month slave.

The only thing that will preserve our free way of life in America are "Tariffs"

Tax it to meet USA comparison, our country gets the tax monies from Tariffs, jobs will return to our free country.

The only reason they are leaving is because we dont Tariff, to balance cost.
