15 For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one, we are an odor of death and demise; to the other, a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task? 17 For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.…

Can I share on this outstanding word...

First our call is to the world with the expectation that the very fragrance of Jesus will flow through us by His indwelling presence.

This fragrance divides - attractive to those being saved... Repugnant to those who are perishing.

This is God's work.

Notice many were seen even in those early times to be trying to profit from the gospel. This was never God's intent.

Notice we speak 'before God' with sincerity - that is where our integrity comes from - being grounded relationally in Him first - then being sent out.

This is a rich passage that helps centre us on our purpose in God.
