One comes with the other. Do you fear his?
The notion that anyone is afraid of another's sin is ridiculous. We should perhaps fear God's wrath for accepting evil but in terms of Mayor Pete's fake husband it's not like he's going to rape folks.

There is no love in accepting that which is evil. Mayor Pete needs to repent and leave homosexual conduct in the past. Christians have no business denying God's law and celebrating that which God calls an abomination.

Christians have a duty to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is love, acceptance, and understanding. Leave God to deal with the hearts of men. Where is the love in this philosophy?

God's law has not been abrogated. There is no salvation when there isn't a turning from sin. There is no love when we tell people their sin okay and to be celebrated. When the church pretends like the personal sin of political leaders isn't relevant we end up with people like Trump.

Do we not all sin? We do not know the hearts of men. It is not for us to cast the first stone. Jesus said that. Not the Church. Let God deal with the sinners among us. You don't have to tell anyone their sin is OK, but unless it violates a law in the country in which you reside or somehow harms you, a person's sin is none of your concern. Someone's sexual orientation is not.

Don't vote for a person if you feel convicted not to vote for him or her. That is your choice. But it is no one's place to condemn another because of his or her sexuality.

It is absolutely our place to call out wicked sexual behavior where it exists. It is here where we must agree to disagree.

the bible lists over 90 abominations including remarriage after divorce. But i bet you give Trump a free pass on that and his denial of God's law and his celebration of an abomination

Many events will have to take place for Pete Buttigieg to get the nomination, but I want to focus on only one. Will he be able to produce a large showing among Christian moderates?
No. He isn't a moderate but just looks like one to some people when contrasted with the Socialists in the party and the contest for the nomination. He also is carefully promoting himself as moderate.

IF he were to get the nomination, all of that would be more closely examined and exposed.

He is definitely not far left, but I'm not sure I would classify him as a moderate either. I do like his public option healthcare plan. I've promoted that myself.

I don't give Trump a pass. I'm a #nevertrump conservative who voted third party in 2016.

I would substitute forgiveness for acceptance. God forgives sin, He does not accept it. This is why , though Jesus refuses to cast the stone, He tells the woman to go and sin no more.

1 John 5-10

5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness we lie and do not live out the truth.7 But if we walk in the light,as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

8 If we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

We have to ACCEPT that we are all sinners and need Jesus. Jesus forgave the woman. We don't know what Jesus is doing with Pete. We can't judge his heart. We all sin. Who are we to judge others? Who are we to cast the first stone. Are we so pure? If you decide to judge him, what makes him more sinful than Trump?

The notion that we cannot apply Biblical principles to society at large and specifically to people running for elected office is absurd. Paul is not telling believers that we have permission to look the other way when society is rejecting God's law. He is not telling believers to go vote for heathens because morality only matters in the church.

He is saying, quite specifically and on this very topic, that it is not our place to call out wicked sexual behavior where it exists outside the Church.
Too many have this principle backwards, they want to call out the sins of society at large and be lenient, turning a blind eye to the immorality, lies etc that is infiltrating into the church.
Homosexuality has no place in the Church nor among believers. Outside of the Church, it's none of my business. My task is to love everyone.
