Peace to those who may read.
Those who are “overseers” of the church of God....in the figurative language of Matthew 24, those who are upon the “housetop”…are to RENOUNCE the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness nor be handling the Word of God deceitfully. They are to stop the taking of the “silver, gold or apparel” from those they are “preaching” to. We are to hear the manifestation of the Truth to our hearing ears and cease "stealing".
2 Corinthians 4:2 ….How do we “commend ourselves to EVERY man’s conscience in the sight of God”?
By working with our own hands to support our own earthly necessities by which the outside world (their weak conscience) will not have an opportunity to speak evil of those who are preaching. We support the “weak” (the weak conscience) of those of the world when we work with our own hands to support ourselves rather than take from the congregations we are “preaching” to. They see us working with our own hands and will not have an opportunity to speak evil.
2 Corinthians 4:1-2 KJV
(1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
(2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
Those who are on the “housetop” MUST have a good report of them which are outside the church….the outside world…lest he FALL into reproach and the trap of the devil. The outside world will respect us if we work with our own hands to support our own necessities rather than making merchandise of the sheep that we are supposed to be feeding with the Word of Truth.
1 Timothy 3:7 KJV
(7) Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
Again, let him which is on the “housetop”…at the pinnacle of the temple….the overseer of the church…not come down to “take” anything out of His (God’s) house. They are to stop “stealing” from those that they are “preaching” to and work with their own hands to support themselves.
Once we know what the “abomination of desolation” is (covetousness), we are to cease from these activities by renouncing the hidden things of dishonesty….no longer handling the Word of God deceitfully in order to get our earthly things (what to eat, what to drink, what to wear) met from those we “preach” to.
Covetousness should not be named once among us as becoming saints. (Ephesians 5:3) If we destroy the temple of God by what we are preaching deceptively, we are also being destroyed. The desolator of the church is himself being destroyed.
We are to "see"...UNDERSTAND with the "eyes of our understanding" opened...that the abomination of desolation is covetousness. It should not be once named among us as becoming saints. We must FLEE from covetousness.
Matthew 24:15 KJV
(15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)
As a man of God, we are to flee from these things and flee into the “mountains” of His righteousness where God’s faithfulness reaches unto the clouds. He is faithful and will forgive us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. His thoughts and ways are higher than our own.
Matthew 24:16-19 KJV
(16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Those who are on the “housetop” of the church….the pinnacle of the temple….the “overseer”…is to stop covetously taking things out of the church whom he is supposed to be feeding with the Word of Truth and not making merchandise of the sheep.
(17) Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Once we understand what the “abomination of desolation” is (covetousness), we are to no longer use feigned words to deceive others in the churches of men in order to get gain. We are to no longer use flattery as a “cloak” for our hidden covetousness (the abomination of desolation). Let us not "return back" to using flattery....to using feigned words through the hidden covetousness within the heart. We are God's "field" whom we are fellow workers with. We must not be taking advantage of those we are supposedly feeding.
(18) Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
But not every pastor (him who is on the “housetop”) will hear and believe as some will be tempted to speak evil in their wrath…just as the covetous Pharisees derided Jesus for saying that no one can serve God AND mammon. See Luke 16:14.
“Woe unto them that are with child”!
(19) And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
This is figurative language in Matthew 24. Those who are “with child” are those who will hear what the abomination of desolation is in the hearing of the Word of Truth and will become full of wrath within their hearts. The covetous pastors of the churches will be tempted to speak evil when they hear the Word of Truth. Let us not follow after their evil example when the time comes but follow after His righteousness.
James 1:13-18 KJV
(13) Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed.
(14) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Woe unto them that are with “child”….as lust (envy, strife, wrath, contentions in defense of covetousness) conceives. When lust has conceived within the heart, it brings forth the “child” SIN.
“Woe unto them that give suck in those days”….as the “child” sin is nourished until it is full grown and brings forth death.
Men will hear and become full of wrath in their hearts and will seek to defend their covetousness with evil speaking (giving “birth” to sin). They will nourish that sin until it is full grown...feeding it. There will be no more sacrifice for willful sin when they are warned.
(15) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Do not err. We must hear what the Spirit is saying from above sent from the Father of lights. Of His own will does He beget us with the Word of Truth so that we should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures. We hear His voice and bring forth fruits of righteousness towards what we hear.
(16) Do not err, my beloved brethren.
(17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
(18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Those who will hear the good Word of God are to bring forth the fruits of righteousness and not bear forth "thorns and briers"....speaking evil words in their wrath of what they hear. Woe unto those who are "with child"...sin in their hearts as they are tempted to speak evil in their wrath.
Hebrews 6:4-10 KJV
(4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
(5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
(6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
(7) For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
(8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
(9) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
(10) For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
