If teens were given facts and the opportunity to understand their own bodies rather than have platitudes thrown at them there would be far less teens with kids of their own.
Know what I mean JesusFreak?
There is NO CORRELATION WHATSOEVER between knowledge and promiscuity. In fact, ignorance is far more culpable than anything else. How you can even possible get from:jesusfreak3786 said:NO, NO, NO, NO, I DON'T.
Nore do I want to. There is enough mindless monkey sex out there, there is no need to increase the casual nature of it, bleh. Before you know it a large part of the world will celibrate anual orgy's and masturbation classes, I hope I'm dead before then. *shudder shudder shudder*

Teaching Masturbation -- you asked? Yes, Believe it or Not!
In the 1970's and 1980's, a woman named Betty Dodson,Ph.D., achieved much fame from her approach to masturbation. She actually held classes for women to teach them how to touch. She thought that in order for women to overcome certain degrees of repression that she believed were instilled by the church, women needed to learn how to "celebrate" their bodies. She made the point that masturbation needed to be celebrated, and not allowed to create guilt. She admitted that overcoming guilt was very difficult -- for men & women, especially when the guilt was instilled by the voice of their mothers at an early age. Mother's told children not to touch themselves "down there" and wow, what an embarrassment if the child did that in public!
For many people the consequence of our mothers' or fathers' difficulty with our innocent sexuality when we were toddlers and infants may be the reason that the experience and enjoyment of our own bodies is taken away from us, or we are still allowed (made) to feel ashamed in some way when we feel pleasure from exploring our own bodies.

One of the most disturbing threads I've read was the sex questions where a woman wanted to know how best to punish her 2 year old toodler for touching themself.flicka said:If you have never done it and find touching your private parts disturbing... perhaps this isn't the best debate for you? Oh, and don't freak out when you have kids and find your toddler playing with himself. He isn't 'lusting'.
TiffyToo said:I have a question...
I guess some people find masturbation to be a terrible thing for teen-agers, never mind the fact that this is when hormones are raging and it beats having sex wrecklessly.
A lot of people think it should be saved for marriage (sex, that is). What about the person who doesn't find anyone to marry? What about the person whose partner refuses sex? What about the person who is divorced? Are people supposed to go through life without experiencing their sexuality at all?
I guess my question is really directed at fundamentalist Christians, but all viewpoints are welcome.

Watch your step, it's a slippery slope. Now try being logical about your comments.lawtonfogle said:Now all we need is classes on how to...
Kill someone and get away with it
Take drugs and not get caugt
Rape someone and leave no evidence of it
Controll your thoughts so you can fool a lie detector test
Steel with out being caught
Abuse children without leaving 'tell tell' signs or marks
And many other things.

lawtonfogle said:Peter says, somewhere in one of the Corithians, that it is better not to be married for one who can controll their body, but for the one who cannot, it is better for them to be married.
In other words, if you can live without sex, then you do not need it.
but if you need it, you need to get married.
Imagine that most of the worlds population is not in jail. Hey, I just realized that most of the world is not in jail! We must be really good about not being put there.lawtonfogle said:Hey, im being serious, imaggin how many people would not be in Jail if they knew how to do that.
The problem is, you have not demonstrated the "sin" in masturbation. Nor have you shown a direct correlation between the "sin of masturbation" and anything that is considered unlawful.Really, teaching some how to sin is plain wrong, in more ways than one
TiffyToo said:The reality is some people will never find someone to marry, and some people don't want to marry someone that's not right. And some people marry someone they think is right, then discover the person they married isn't interested in sex. And some people get divorced. Life is not always so black and white, and sex is a DRIVE and a healthy drive when dealt with appropriately. For some people, masturbation is preferable being with another person, due to STDs, etc.

Present your argument. Let me decide if it's pointless. By the way, I'm so happy that you have learned to misconstrue atheism as a religion at such a young age.lawtonfogle said:First part was a joke, second part i can explain, but I must use the rules of God, who due to your religion does not exist, so my agument is pointless.
Nope.Do have one Question. do you beleive in absolute truth.
