Mary’s spiritual children!

The disciples of Jesus are Mary’s spiritual children!

John 19:26-27

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

No.

Actuallly, Mary is a spiritual child of Jesus and a sister to all other disciples of Jesus.

When Jesus was on the cross He commanded that John (only) would replace him as Mary's (adopted) son. Connecting that situation to the woman in Revelation is really poor exegesis. John was one person, living when Jesus lived. The section in Revelation is about the believers (plural) living at the end time. The book is symbolic, not literal; a vision.

Rev 12 the woman the ark of the new covenant

Is the man child who will rule the nations Jesus Christ? Then the woman must be Mary His mother and her offspring children those who keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus!

Just to John? Why does it say disciple? And not John? Mt 16:18 says Peter and it applies only to Peter. But here it says disciple it applies to all disciples!
Nonsense.

John talks about himself several times in the 3rd person. Do not build some obscure theology around it.

Jesus gave His mother to His disciples

No .. he gave the responsibility of taking care of Mary directly to John who was a disciple.

John 19

25Near the cross of Jesus stood His mother and her sister, as well as Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary Magdalene. 26When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved (John) standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, here is your son.” 27Then He said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” So from that hour, this disciple took her into his home.

See, you keep twisting things around and making connections where there are none.

You claim that Mary placing her son in a manger means there's no chance for her to have another child because that means a "singular" child.

Now you claim that "THE disciple" which is obviously singular means "plural".

This is silly.

Just to John? Why does it say disciple? And not John? Mt 16:18 says Peter and it applies only to Peter. But here it says disciple it applies to all disciples!

John 19:25-27, "Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home."

John refers to himself as "the disciple whom Jesus loved"; there is no mistaken identity.

John 13:23, "One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him." When you say "here it says disciple it applies to all disciples" you're obviously mistaken.

John 21:7, "Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water." Here it clearly shows that the disciple whom Jesus loved wasn't Peter.

John 21:20, "Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them." Here it clearly shows again that the disciple whom Jesus loved wasn't Peter.

It would be a good idea for you to read Scripture and think about what it clearly says before posting.

I don’t agree if it applies to any personal name then you would be right, but if it says disciple whoever that disciple is does not matter it applies to all disciples!

How do we know who’s right?
Is the Bible alone gonna day which one is right?

Jesus is not just asking John to care for His mother, if so He would have said so.

Jesus is in the very least making Mary John’s spiritual mother! And if the apostle John needs a spiritual mother so do we!

What is the family of God without a mother? The mother is the heart of the family! Jesus said I will not leave you orphans! Jn 14:18 He proved Mary the mother of one disciple then He does so for all disciples!

As eve was the mother of all the living in the first creation, gen 3:20 so Mary is the mother of all those who live in Christ and the new creation!
