Hi all, this is my very first post here, so a quick update on who I am.

I am a young white Englishman, with non-devout christian beliefs, only strong beliefs in god himself, I am a true believer in the "afterlife" and God as my final saviour.

Recently due to the corona virus outbreak, I looked for guidance in the Holy Bible and learnt of The Revelations and the End Times. In, these End Time learnings I came across "The Mark of the beast" and the "False Prophet".

To cut a long story as short as I can, I looked much further into this.

I believe the Mark of the Beast will be a vaccine microchip placed between the thumb and finger, incorporating a bitcoin or other blockchain "wallet" to store and hold currency, allowing us to buy and sell, this is why governments are printing money at alarming rates and devaluing their own currencies because soon it will not matter if they are transferring to a new currency. They will eventually restrict people to only buy and sell with this new currency.

I believe the Anti-Christ is Donald Trump, he has many past afflications with the number 666, including purchasing buildings with the number 666, paying 666million for properties and various other stuff relating to 666... He has already committed blasphemy on multiple occasions, he has declared to be "the chosen one" and "king of israel" and "the second coming of christ". He has already been leader for 38 months and the beast is said to be leader for 42 months. He comes from the "sea of people" and a "sea of wealth". He will be wounded by the deadly coronavirus and then healed. It all seems to fit.

The false prophet is Bill Gates... He will be the one to promote the usage of the"mark of the beast" the vaccine microchip, it will be almost impossible for people to not take this mark and will be deceived.

Could "The Rapture" be the virus and be happening now?

What does everyone/ anyone think about this?

Feel free to ask me any questions you wish, I will watch this post for a couple of days to see how it evolves.

Thankyou, and be safe in these worrying times!

The beast only has 42 months to rule then will be cast into the LOF, Revelation 19 so there isn't 7 years with the mark in the middle. I think the mark would come very early in the 42 months as it is used to control financial transactions and the beast kingdom would need to be in control of that very early.

Only when the restrainer is taken away does the lawless one appear on the stage so to speak. Then the beast has to be given life and the world is told to worship it. No one has the mark before this time. And the word makes it clear those written in the lambs book will not take the mark :)

The Antichrist does no regard women. And who this is unknown

I cannot competently reference aspects of The Bible myself so I am just copying this from an external source, of where i deemed the 3.5 years to be the point of the mark.

"following Satan’s banishment from Heaven (Revelation 12:9), we learn that Satan will indwell Antichrist at the mid-tribulation point."

Cryptocurrencies and blockchain have been around for longer that 3.5 years.. so it is possible that they "had control" for themselves over the transactions in the beast kingdom for some while now, they will impose that control over others shortly.

"Again, the mark will not be forced upon anyone. It will be eagerly accepted by most, who will be deceived by the signs and wonders performed by the False Prophet. They will be deceived into believing Antichrist really is god on earth, deserves their worship and adoration, and will gladly bear his mark."

I believe that the government will issue these microchip marks with prepaid funds and corona virus vaccine, basically making it impossible for people to refuse.

Could the restrainer and the lawless one take the same form externally.. i.e be the same person and their souls/ spirits transfer over?

Is it possible that those written in the lambs book are taken by this coronavirus? The Rapture... and will not need to decide on whether to take the mark of the beast or not?

I was trying to find a link to the 666 decoding of the names, and found the only link with the theorised false prophets wife. The false prophet i theorise can be found easily by searching a prominent person whom is promoting the use of vaccinated microchips for coronavirus at this current time.

My theorised anti-christ decodes to 888, which others deem 888 refers to Christ himself... however is it possible the the 888 be upside down and refers to the "Anti" Christ?

How can there be a tribulation without the Antichrist causing it? Also, why would the mark not exist for the first half? Wouldn't the beast government need to control the financial markets...all the buying and selling?

888 has no significance in the bible. Only the 666 is mentioned in regard to a name and since you didn't name the person it's impossible to comment.

Yes you make a valid point here... But is it possible the beast government could already be controlling the financial markets for the people already under the beast goverments control, and they are paying/ buying and selling with each other, in the chosen currency and they will move onto forcing this upon everyone with the microchips when the antichrist exposes himself at the midpoint of the 7 yeah tribulation period (abomination of desolation) when he issues that the mark of the beast be taken.

Apologies for the 888 reference. As I said I have very limited personal knowledge of the Bible in the entirety of its teachings, and value the opinion of a more knowledgeable person on the significance of 888.

As you understand It would be wrong of me to individually name possibly innocent people on this forum, although my previous posts make it very clear that it is a very prominent wealthy couple of whom are promoting the use of microchipping vaccines for the coronavirus. You take their wifes full name, and calculate the number. And it equates to 666. eg. Mary A Rails

This name would also very likely be used on the final microchips that get used as marketing. as this couple are very prominent in the promotion of microchipping vaccines for the coronavirus.

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written:

    “What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—

these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,

“Who has known the mind of the Lord
    so as to instruct him?”

But we have the mind of Christ.

i know that the Bible is a spiritual book speaking about spiritual things and to the spiritually discerning. i know i have battled many Antichrists, and many false prophets and honest to God had the son of lawlessness cut out of me by The Son of God Himself. All praise and glory to Him.

    1 John 4:1-6
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

    Go read Revelation 13:1–8, 16–18, and 14:9–12,

In order to know what the mark of the beast is, one must first identify the beast. How does the Bible describe it? ( it's NOT a computer chip) here are a few to get started with.

    Characteristics of the beast (anti-christ)

It rises from the sea (verse 1).

It is the composite of the four beasts in Daniel chapter 7 (verse 2).

The dragon gives it power and authority (verse 2).

It receives a deadly wound (verse 3).

Its deadly wound is healed (verse 3).

It is a strong political power (verses 3, 7).

It is a strong religious power (verses 3, 8).

It is guilty of blasphemy (verses 1, 5, 6).

It wars with and overcomes the saints (verse 7).

It rules for 42 months (verse 5).

    It has a mysterious number—666 (verse 18).

Many will .... willingly follow the beast because they are deceived.

The microchip is "the mark of the beast", the beast will be issuing the mark.

    ----
    Characteristics of the beast (anti-christ)

It rises from the sea (verse 1). I cannot fit this one other than a sea of wealth and the sea of people, of whom can become a political leader.

It is the composite of the four beasts in Daniel chapter 7 (verse 2). It maybe in the spiritual aspect and not the physical appearance of the beast.

The dragon gives it power and authority (verse 2). The country is the dragon that issues the power and authority over the people.

It receives a deadly wound (verse 3). He will be wounded by the coronavirus

Its deadly wound is healed (verse 3). He will be healed of the coronavirus

It is a strong political power (verses 3, 7). He has unmeasurable political power

It is a strong religious power (verses 3, 8). ***

It is guilty of blasphemy (verses 1, 5, 6). This person will very easily at some point claim to be god, mark my words.

It wars with and overcomes the saints (verse 7). ***

It rules for 42 months (verse 5). This political person has ruled so far for 38 months.

    It has a mysterious number—666 (verse 18). ***

Many will .... willingly follow the beast because they are deceived. If you believe you will die of the coronavirus you will take the mark of the beast as a microchipped vaccine, that includes blockchain wallets to allow you/ restrict you to buy and sell in the very near future.

If you don't use the full middle name it doesn't look as valid plus the 666 is related to the name of a man not a woman. I think this is just unrelated to the false prophet and the 666 etc.

    It's NOT a physical mark. It's about worshiping/following a "false christ"

    Revelation 14:9
    New International Version
A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand,

    Revelation 13:17-18
So that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

My interpretation of these writings is that IT IS a "physical mark" and it is placed on the right hand or forehead... the microchip is said to be placed between the thumb and forefinger.

We wont be able to buy and sell unless we have this microchip with a blockchain wallet embedded.

You would be worshipping the beast, who is using the image of trump as deception and accepting the mark of the beast on your right hand that restricts buying and selling.

The Revelation is a fantastic book of the Bible, but it is also notoriously difficult, controversial, and immensely difficult to read. I would never suggest a new Christian attempt to read it on their own and try and understand it for themselves.

Even the assumption that it is talking about "the end times" is just that, an assumption. It is how some read the text, but just as many understand it very differently

There are actually four distinct schools of thought associated with how to read the Revelation of St. John:

    1. Futurism - This is the school that is often most popularly known because those who subscribe to it are often more vocal and there is a thriving industry of literature and popular media that espouses this view. But that doesn't mean it's the most common or most appropriate position to take, only that it is the most well known, especially to those outside of Christianity because of that booming media industry that popularizes it. The Futurist position is that the Revelation is talking about events that will happen at the or toward the conclusion of history. And thus is about "the end times" as some call it. In this view "The Beast", often identified as being the same as "the Antichrist" is a future end of the world tyrant just before Christ's coming.

    2. Historicism - This school of thought states that the Revelation describes an unfolding of things that began early on, at the time of St. John when he wrote it, and continues to do so as history marches on. That is, the Revelation describes in highly figurative language an unfolding of history that has been ongoing over the last two millennia, and continuing on until Christ's return in the future. In this view "The Beast"/"Antichrist" is a power that exists throughout history.

    3. Preterism - This school states that the meaning of the text is found primarily in the events of the time St. John wrote, and thus describes things two thousand years ago. Here "The Beast" is often understood to be the Roman emperor, or more broadly Roman imperial power.

    4. Idealism - This school states that the point of the Revelation isn't about very specific events from any specific period of time so much as it describes ideas and realities that are relevant in any time. The Beast, therefore, may not be a specific individual or group of individuals, but more representative of all oppressive evil power at work in the world.

Further, there are different variations within all the above, and there can even be overlap. For example I would broadly describe my own approach to the Revelation to be between the Preterist and Idealist schools. I am of the opinion that the Beast of the Revelation was a direct reference to Emperor Nero, whose name adds up to six hundred and sixty-six. The mortal wound which the Beast suffers was the death of Nero, and the revival of the Beast is Emperor Domitian who, according to ancient sources, revived the persecution against the Church and was the emperor at the time St. John wrote the Revelation. More broadly, the Beast is the imperial power of Rome, and can also be understood to describe all tyrannical, oppressive power in the world. All that which is in opposition to Christ and Christ's people. Thus the historical context of the Revelation was the ancient world in which St. John wrote, the point of why he wrote was to direct his original audience (the seven churches in Asia Minor) to their hope in Christ and Christ's ultimate defeat of all things at His return in glory at the conclusion of history. The text remains relevant for us, as we can be reminded of this same hope, the hope of Jesus Christ who defeated sin an death, ascended into heaven, reigns with the Father, and will come again in glory when God will make all things new. This is our hope in every generation, in every era, and so no matter how great the powers of this world rage, no matter how fierce the devil may seem, our hope and victory is always in Jesus Christ who has already won the victory.

"The Rapture" is, depending on how it is defined, either a completely unbiblical idea or a very misunderstood idea.

The Christian hope is that even as Christ was raised from the dead so shall God raise us up at Christ's coming. So in St. Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians (1 Thessalonians) he wants to remind the Christians living there not to be disheartened over those who have died, and to not believe false teachers denying the resurrection of the dead. So he reminds them that when Jesus returns, the dead will be raised, and those alive at Christ's coming will join the dead; and all will be "caught up" to meet Jesus as He returns. This term "caught up" in the Latin translation of the Bible is rapiemur, a form of the Latin verb rapio, meaning "to seize"; a number of English words (including one very unpleasant one) comes from this Latin verb, including the English word "rapture".

Some, in recent times, see in this passage of the dead rising and being caught up to meet Jesus at His return as indicating a being "caught up" into heaven, that Jesus brings Christians up into heaven. This isn't, however, what has been believed historically in Christianity. Rather since Christ is returning, coming down from heaven, back to earth to judge the living and the dead, the catching up is about going to meet Him, like a royal entourage going out of a city to escort a returning king back home in victory.

The term "The Rapture" is often used by those who believe in the idea that Christians are taken directly into heaven; as such many Christians (myself included) simply don't use that term; seeing that it is by and large also a new one. Instead we simply speak of Christ's return to judge, and of the resurrection of the dead at His coming.

That is what Christianity speaks of and hopes for: Christ's return and the resurrection of the dead.

So the current COVID-19 situation has nothing to do with "the Rapture".

A lot of the things you've said here, and the ideas you have expressed, are one of the big reasons why I mention one shouldn't attempt to read the Revelation by themselves, especially someone new to the faith.

The temptation to engage in various conspiracy theory type thinking is often exacerbated by attempting to attach the cryptic, graphic imagery contained in the Revelation with contemporary events. One should not read the Revelation in one hand and a newspaper in the other--the result is any manner of speculation.

This is another reasons why it can be problematic to go it alone with the Revelation. Since in our culture we use Arabic numerals and a decimal place system the number six hundred and sixty-six looks like three 6's, or "666". Thus we might be tempted to imagine that this tripling of the number 6 is itself significant, and want to engage in other number tripling--such as you have done with 888.

But this is a very peculiar way writing out this number, and it only looks this way using our particular numbering system, where each digit represents a position, thus 600+60+6 looks like 666.

But let's look at how that number looks in the original Greek of the Bible:

Look at the red underline. Here's what you're looking at,

    Χξς

Those are the Greek characters chi, xi, and sigma. The black bar over them in the text indicates that they are to be read as a number. In many ancient number systems characters from the writing system were assigned a numeric value. Think Roman numerals, where I = 1, V = 5, etc. In Greek numerals X = 600, ξ = 60, and ς = 6. And so the numbers are read additively, thus Χξς is Χ+ξ+ς, or 600+60+6.

The fact that there are three 6's when we write six hundred and sixty-six is simply a quirk of how we write numbers, and is not relevant or significant itself to what the number means in the text.

Looking at the replies I have been given, many here seem to think that I am interpreting the scriptures incorrectly.

So, now I am looking for guidance from more knowledgeable Christians here.

In your honest opinions, do you deem it fine to get a vaccine microchip implanted into their right hand between the thumb and forefinger that would leave a permanent disfigurement mark, with a blockchain embedded "wallet" to allow us to pay for things in an entirely new currency that we will be soon restricted to only use, issued to us by a charismatic leader that is proved to have lied and been deceitful multiple times of who has already publically proclaimed to be "king of israel" and "the second coming of Christ" has been a leader for 38 months and would likely implement the microchipping in the coming months.

Honestly asking, is the general consensus that people here deem this acceptable? Are you guys also going to be taking on this microchip when it comes in the very near future as a vaccine for coronavirus? I need to know if other Christians are going to be accepting this microchip too!

Am I coinciding too many real life events with the scriptures?, and should I look to the scriptures more spiritually as opposed to reality, because to me the line is beginning to blur between reality and spiritually in our current times.
