Trump also has potential liability from fraudulent tax returns in various states and with the IRS. Trump’s false loan applications put him at risk of bank fraud charges. Biden wants an investigation.
I'll bet he does! ;) It's desperation time in in the 2020 presidential election campaign.

Anything to take the heat off Biden probes. As if Trump even handles his own tax affairs.
Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen tried to blame his tax evasion conviction on his accountant, but was sentenced to three years in a minimum security prison anyway. He was not allowed special medical treatment. His phone time was limited. Michael Cohen testified about Trump’s use of fraudulent accounting in a hearing.

Campaign finance violations and $50,000 worth of tax evasion.

Trump’s tax evasions were rumored to be in excess of a hundred million, although some of the statute of limitations may have expired.

Desperation by Trump about how to stay out of prison (or find a country without extradition)?

With the exception of impeachment. Someone cannot be convicted on rumors.

Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein had a source inside the Nixon administration with knowledge of the White House staff directed burglary of the DNC headquarters in the Watergate Complex overlooking the Potomac R. His source was code named “Deep Throat.” Deep Throat told the reporters investigating Nixon, “Follow the money.” There were slush funds to pay off people, to buy their silence. Nixon fired Dept. of Justice senior officials investigating him, bringing accusations of obstruction of justice against him. Investigation of the rumor led to Nixon’s resignation. Nixon received a pardon when his new Vice President Gerald Ford became President. His first Vice President Spirow Agnew was convicted of bribery. This is a case where a rumor led to the downfall of a sitting president.

The only difference being is that there were these pesky FACTS to back them up. There were none with Trump and every witness testimony under cross examination fell apart.

Trump has not been put on trial. You can not arrest a sitting president. Bob Mueller, Special Counsel for the United States Department of Justice, reported there are grounds for an obstruction of justice case against Trump. It is in “The Mueller Report.” Three of Trump’s former campaign managers have been indicted. Manafort is doing time. Parscale beat his wife and is being investigated for stealing Republican campaign funds. Bannon was arrested for stealing charity funds. These are Republican felons. Your testimony is irrelevant.

Can you quote that from the report and provide a link?

I have the book in Kindle form. It was published by the Washington Post. I read the “Mueller Report” years ago. The report was released after Mueller investigated Russia’s 2016 election interference. Some Russian hackers were indicted. Russia has infiltrated the U.S. with spies. Putin executed a Russian who spied for America with a lethal nerve agent. It is in ex-FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Stzrok’s book, “Kompromised.”

I don't think that Biden, should he win the election, will want to pursue any criminal charges against Trump. I think he would rather relegate him to the dustbin of history and put our four-year national nightmare to an end.

And with a virtual smorgasbord of charges that states can and will level against him, it seems as if justice could be done while the federal government pursued bipartisanship and avoided the fray.

After all President Biden can't pardon someone of a state conviction, and, considering the substantial amounts of money involved in these various tax charges, it would harm the states financially for him to attempt to do so.
