Of course we did. Popular vote is the theater show of American presidential election; it doesn't matter. In reality, it shouldn't since we are a republic.

However, who else - except the people for whom the constitution is designed around - is to blame for Trump being in office? Whether we let our ignorance of a base of "his type of supporters" quietly waiting for their time since the end of the civil right movement, our our ignorance of the corruption if American political systems in general.

Plenty of people have warned us of this type of entity in office now, but we scoffed at their warnings. Now, we are crying because the fruits of our ignorance has ripened.

What will Americans do when he remains in office? Because, he will remain in office.

Politicians are just doing their jobs: playing a game with the lives of their subjects. It is up to the people to hold them to the appropriate standard - which we never actually do. And, we got comfortable picking between evil. When change was suggested we laughed it off - like we do every time before a major collapse.

What will Americans do when he remains in office? Because, he will remain in office.

We have an uphill battle and we know it.
Unscrupulous conservatives have:

• gerrymandered
• suppressed voting
• thrown people off the rolls
• closed polling places in minority areas and replaced them with exurban polling places far from public transportation
• promoted the outright lie that mail voting increases fraud.

Russians, whether encouraged or not by the Trump campaign, are launching another disinformation campaign. Numerous FB posts have been found to be "bot" plants already.

Trump, knowing that seniors, angry that he finds their lives "expendable" so the economy can reopen, throws them a bone. He'd heard that seniors cared about the price of insulin...bear in mind, of course, that, at age 73, Trump had no idea what insulin was, but he knew that there was some way it could be used to help his campaign. And so now he has lowered the price of insulin for seniors--effective 2021.

He is hoping they forget that he wants a payroll tax cut to bankrupt the Social Security and Medicare programs so that he can gut them. Does he really think that seniors, as they trudge home from the soup kitchen to their sleeping bags under the bridge, will say, "Thank you, President Trump, for cheap insulin?"
