Love Our Enemies

Father in Heaven, Thank God for His lovingkindness and mercy. Thank Him for the unmerited grace He has for His people. How are we to love our enemies, those who would seek to do us harm or trespass against us in any way? Loving God, trusting God, putting our faith in God seems easy by comparison to "loving our enemies." But Jesus said just that, to love them and do good things for them, to bless them and pray for them. O LORD, I'm praying for some people right now who mistreat me and those dear to me. I'm sure there are other people in similar circumstances who want to love their enemies too. Bless our enemies and forgive them; and show us ways to do good things for them. That is my prayer. God's will be done. In Jesus' name. Amen

A daily prayer that we would "love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, bless those who curse us, and pray forgiveness and blessings for those who mistreat us." (Luke 6:27-28)
