Thanks for your prayers ya'll! I'm feeling some better. My throat is just sore now and doesn't have that weird feeling to it. I made a doctor's appointment for tomorrow morning but I don't think I'm gonna go unless I'm much worse in the morning. I don't feel bad my throat just hurts. I'm thinking it could be allergies.

We've all been there. I do something that I like to do that will occupy your time. I try and take advantage of that because when you have everything coming down on you at once you wish you had time alone. But if you feel that bad, feel free to IM me, my addy's are in my profile.

Hey everyone! I'm feeling better this morning! I don't have to go the doctor. Thanks so much for your prayers! I love ya'll!

Crucifix-No I'm not on meds for allergies. I have a spell with them twice a year so it's not that bad. I think maybe it came from me being around ciggerate smoke the other day at school.

I feel gross again today. I woke during the night coughing and stayed awake about 2 hours. I was feeling better yesterday I just don't understand this at all. If ya'll think about it lift up a prayer for me. Thanks.

Father God, i lift up my dear friend to Your promise's of complete restoration in her body. In Your word You said by Your stripes WE are healed. Dear heavenly Father, i stand with faith for my precious friend to claim and take back her complete healing by Your perfect will. Holy Spirit let her rise and take up her bed and walk with a confidence that she has been restored and no longer believe the lie she must go by how she feels, but by the Word of God. Heal her completely Lord of all infirmities and ailments big and small so that she may continue to do the Will she has in her heart to do for You in this ministry. Thank you, Lord for all you continue to do with, through and for my friend. Use my friend, Lord in a mighty and powerful way. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen and amen.

Thank you so much for your beautiful prayer. I slept better last night and I'm thankful for that. I made it to school this morning too but there's still a lot of junk in my throat which is why I'm coughing I think. I hope this stuff goes away soon. It's driving me crazy.

yay! make sure you drink a lot of extra fluids right now. The reason for is that if will help thin the mucus in your throat, and allow you to breath easier/cough less.

Today I gave my first shot!

We had two girls begin to cry when someone gave them a shot. I was like "hud", did something touch me. I have heard men are thicked skulled sometimes

Aww see that would be me right there. I would've cried too. Me and pain don't get along. I've had some nurses to hurt me really bad. You're lucky you had a good one.

ever since i was a little one, i used to laugh right before the nurse gave me a shot, i used to laugh as if someone was tickling me, even as she was giving it to me... , it was weird knowing that used to make me laugh...then again i laugh at anything so dont know that giving me a shot at the age of 6 would be any different....

There's a technique or some innate ability that some nursing students and nurses have to give needles. I was told that mine were never felt as they were administered. You must have that, Anthony!

But next month...mine will be felt. We had a shot clinical that us student nurses are the fast food workers of nursing in (massive Flu shot/all other shots)...so it will be a lot of shots very fast. For some of the kids, we have to update all of their shots...and that means 5-6 shots in a row. Haha, they will be feeling that .

Well that laughing actually really helps out a lot, and will help reduce the pain of the shot.

One big thing is to be surprised, if you're expecting it you'll tense up and the pain will be much worse. So just don't expect it.

thats just it, i knew it was coming, so i would laugh, not like i tensed up to begin with, it wasnt difficult for blood to be drawn, just a reaction...

how did this come to be about blood being drawn?...thought this was an analytical thread about loneliness, lol...

Because this is the nature of this threat. It has gone from talking about feelings of being alone to place were a group of us and update about our life. Think if it as like a mini-board in a thread. We can always talk about the feelings of being alone, but sometimes it's nice to talk about other things. We all here talk out how alone we are...how we want the special someone...we just make things worse, and the point of this board almost becomes pointless. The point of the Single's board is to encourage each other, sharpen each other, and a place to ask questions.

Sometimes from what I have seen....we have not really help each other at times, and only dis encouraged each other because we come here (the board) and "complain" about our single hood and feelings of aloneness. I'm not at all against sharing our struggles with feeling alone...everyone does...I feel it to...but I think sometimes getting large group of single's...we just feed of each other loneness...and it just makes everyone worse. Our feeling of being alone shouldn't be ingnore or just brushed aside...but we should be proactive. Make friends...I have become great friends with Singing, Keri, Eerine (sp), Teufelhund, and Crucifix and many others.

hmm.. I believe I read somewhere that laughter can be used as a coping mechanism. Would explain what happened in that situation.

Anyways, I love your laugh. Can't get enought of it.
