Anyone use Lifeway material at your church and do you like it???
Let me know please.

p.s. I personally do not like it, but i want to hear others opinions.
Our church has used Lifeway for years--but with mixed results. Some of our classes like it reasonably well, but we've had complaints from others. Thus, we have shifted to a combination that includes Lifeway (from the SBC), Baptistway (from the BGCT) and a few independent studies. Since we've started letting the teachers and classes choose between a range of materials, the complaints have largely stopped....

My church uses it but I think it is pretty lame. I remember not too long ago when we were doing 1st Kings. The lesson was on the dedication of the temple. (can't remember what chapter it was.) But anyways the whole lesson was on Solomon's prayer. It was not about the major focus of the chapter. My Sunday school department just uses the lifeway material to get what book of the Bible to teach. We make our own lessons based on our own study which always turn out better than lifeways. I think the Lifeway stuff tries to be okay for even the most green of teachers and most immature (spiritually anbd Biblically speaking) of classes. My class is full of seminary students and it just does not work for us.

Most of our adult classes still use Lifeway material; however, they are given the option of using some other approved material one quarter per year. Our children and preschool classes have not used Lifeway in the last few years. Their material for children seems to be VERY outdated in terms of pictures and age-appropriate lessons.

its funny cuz we use lifeway for like everything. i just get tired of them. some teachers quit using it for sunday school, and kinda got chewed out a little. i noticed there classes are better than the lifewat run classes though. our VBS materials are from Lifeway and all our Bible Study stuff is.
