Today's Gospel reading comes St. Luke 17:11-19---

As Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem,
he traveled through Samaria and Galilee.
As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him.
They stood at a distance from him and raised their voices, saying,
"Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!"
And when he saw them, he said,
"Go show yourselves to the priests."
As they were going they were cleansed.
And one of them, realizing he had been healed,
returned, glorifying God in a loud voice;
and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him.
He was a Samaritan.
Jesus said in reply,
"Ten were cleansed, were they not?
Where are the other nine?
Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?"
Then he said to him, "Stand up and go;
your faith has saved you."

Thanks for sharing MM! Jesus can do some amazing acts if we just have true and undoubting faith.

I was listening to the daily reflection video that I listed yesterday and the priest brought up an interesting fact: Samaritans were actually the enemies of the Jewish people!

An enemy of Jesus' people had more faith than the Jewish people themselves--- and that is why our Lord healed that man.

It reminds me of times where I am a doubter-- even though I've been a dedicated Christian for 10+ years at this point. Sometimes I just don't see how Jesus could get me out a certain situation--- and I doubt that I'll ever be happy ever again. But sure enough (even if it takes years) He does.

But we are reminded that it is not just having faith and being blessed, but also that we need to PRAISE God too. How many blessings (big and small) do we just let happen and we never tell God "thank you!" or share them with others?

I think what I'm going to do this week and spend some time looking through my days and thanking God for the big and the small. And then share these blessings with my loved ones. (I'm even trying to gear each of my FB statuses with a praise to God)

Anybody else feel challenged to change something in their faith this week?
