Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

"To listen to South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem's speech over the weekend at the Conservative Political Action Conference was to hear a success story of massive proportions when it comes to the fight against Covid-19.

"South Dakota is the only state in America that never ordered a single business or church to close," said Noem. "South Dakota never instituted shelter in place, never mandated people wear masks."
"South Dakota never even defined what an essential business is," she said.

"The crowd cheered these successes wildly! See, conservative governors like Noem didn't cower in fear from the virus and shut down their economies! And they were proven right!"

South Dakota GOP governor Kristi Noem has it all wrong on Covid-19 - CNNPolitics

The same "Neanderthal thinking" has been advanced by several Republican governors, foremost of whom is Florida's DeSantis. Do they want to accelerate the killing of their people? Here are the facts according to Worldometer:

Covid deaths per 1 million people

    Mississippi 2266
    S. Dakota 2140
    Texas 1542
    Florida 1456

    Canada 582

The states that did better than Canada are Vermont, Maine, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. They should be congratulated.

Yes, please and also look at New York and California who are the polar opposites.

    #1 California

    And

    #4 New York

The state with the highest death rates from COVID is the same state with the strictest Covid precautions.

Try again. Those #1 and #4 rankings aren’t adjusted for population.

The good news in Texas is that even though the governor opened the state, and dropped all efforts to contain the virus, most Texans are still wearing masks, and most businesses are requiring people to wear them if they want to enter.

That's really good news. As vaccinations increase, we might just avoid another premature opening disaster.

Isn’t that awesome? The government finally allowed people to make decisions for themselves.

Now that maybe 10% of Texans are vaccinated, that might be enough to overcome the maybe 15% of people who refuse to take precautions.

We better pray that it will be. It looks like jerk-shaming is becoming more common in Texas, so that's a good sign.

The best estimate is about 11 years. But it's coming.

The top 8 states with the highest 7-day moving average of daily new cases/100,000 are all states with mask mandates.

New Jersey currently leads the pack at 45 per 100,000. NYT classifies them as higher and staying high. In fact, all of those 8 states with mask mandates are classified the same.

Nearly 2 weeks after restrictions were relaxed, Texas currently clocks in at 29th with 13 per 100,000. NYT classifies them as lower and staying low. Iowa (31st) and Mississippi (38th) (both states also dropped their restrictions) are also in this category.

Texans figured out after their smart grid failed, that their government wasn’t that smart after all.
