  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let us exhort one another daily.

Beloved ones, we heard:

“but EXHORT ONE ANOTHER DAILY, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, let our hearts perceive that we should not harden through the deceitfulness of sin, that we EXHORT ONE ANOTHER DAILY, while it is called “Today”.

May God’s peace be with you. Amen

Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

And I appeal to you, beloved ones, bear with the word of exhortation.

To God the Father be thanksgiving through Christ. Amen

Hey santoso, anything the matter? I bet you need a word of encouragement. I get under attack too. Jesus loves me the best He can then. Leaves up to me to cast them out. Then it’s just a matter of time and they go. Rest in Him read your Bible. It will pass. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. It was love that made Him say that and all the good that He does is because of love. For all of us even the unkind and fruitless. Love helps you maybe not everybody.

Thank you, beloved one for asking. I have been encouraged much.

About attack, we heard that we have to be watchful about our Adversary.

So I hide in the Lord, believing that He preserve me from this trouble and surround me with song of deliverance.

So I stand in faith, believing what has been written in 2 Samuel 22:2-51. When I watched news that is in the world, I sensed that I am shielded from fear of trouble. This has encouraged me.I hope it will encourage you, too.

Yes, I believe that, too, that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.

So I don’t consider myself to be unkind and unfruitful, but I consider that I should have God’s conscious rather than self conscious, that I am with Christ, and in Christ, that I will be loving, kind and fruitful.

To God the Father be thanksgiving through Christ.Amen.

Beloved one, for we heard:

holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both TO EXHORT exhort and convict those who contradict.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What faithful word that we have hold fast ? What faithful word that we have been taught ?

This is what we have heard:
“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, let us hold fast a faithful saying, as apostle Paul taught us, that we accept Christ Jesus who is worthy, for Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, for whom we with apostle Paul are chief. However, for this reason we obtained mercy, that in us with apostle Paul first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

That’s why we are not chastised all the time. His long suffering. Sometimes I wish He would. So I would no for sure when I’m wrong. I think most of us have a heart to quit falling short. But everything is up side down right now.

Beloved one, this we heard from apostle Paul and Timothy our brother:

“And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So apostle Paul and our brother Timothy know that as we are partakers of the sufferings, so also we will partake of the consolation.

How we will partake of the consolation? This we heard:

“For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So we will partake the consolation through Christ are we who have partaken the sufferings of Christ.

This is also what we have heard:
“Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:17-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If ones has not fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before ones, one have not yet have that strong consolation.

So let us be ones who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us, that we may have that strong consolation.
Let us have this abounding consolation through Christ.

May God’s peace be with you.
To God the Father be thanksgiving through Christ. Amen.

I’m just a wretch in the face of the Word. I can only do a couple things right. I can’t even commandeer the word like you can. I always thought I was a pretty smart guy. But I ve just been so completely humbled by whom I’ve become. There are some people with real gifts, real seeming greatness. But I’m just a little pawn. I want to be content. I’m getting old. I blue it for me. I serve a purpose with wife and a bit of ministry, a hobby and a life.
I’m waiting and watching for His return. I’m respectable and not causing division. I’ll guess my ego and pride are bigger than my accomplishments.

We all have been made by God for one fundamental purpose: to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31; Matthew 5:16). When we do, when we glorify Him in everything we do, we fulfill the purpose for our creation and enjoy a deep sense of contentment, meaning and peace we can't find by any other means. I run into a lot of Christians, though, who think that glorifying God means singing praises to Him in a worship service, or making some pious exclamation about His wonderfulness in as many circumstances as possible. But this sort of glorification of God is often put-on, unnatural, a religious act; its often coming from a life that is mostly empty of any real joy or delight in God.

The sort of glorification that God wants - sincere, spontaneous and enthusiastic glorification - can only come from a joyful experience of Him. I had a friend who loved golf. You could tell he did because he wouldn't shut up about golf. He also spent gobs of money and time playing the game and improving his putts and strokes. When my friend glorified golf, it was always with great energy and passion, urging others to take up the game, relating his golf experiences with great enthusiasm, explaining his discoveries about how best to "address the ball" or putt it. There was nothing unnatural about my friend's love and praise of golf, nothing put-on, and so the rest of us tolerated his frequent glorification of his favorite sport with good humor.

This is the sort of glorification God wants from all of us. He couldn't care less, I think, if we've "made something of ourselves," if we're famous, or important, or powerful; He didn't make us for such things. What He's wanting in relationship with us is to give to us an incredible, daily joyful experience of Himself. And out of this wonderful communion with us, He's intending we should praise Him and live to His glory. As we do, we fulfill the reason for which we were made and enter into a profound sense of contentment and peace that no amount of golf (or whatever our favorite thing is) could ever produce.

Not Just Relationship, Fellowship.

Beloved one, it is true that we have heard our Lord said:

“Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you ARE WRETCHED, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

How then we know whether we are wretched or not?

This is what we have heard:

Their feet are swift to shed blood;
ruin and WRETCHEDNESS are in their paths,
and THE PATH OF PEACE they have not known.-Romans 3:15-17 CSB

So our Lord considered those who are wretched are those feet are swift to shed blood and that the way of peace they have not known.

Beloved one, if we have known the path of peace, we can consider ourselves no longer wretched.

So the grace of our Lord to us who are wretched, that we may know THE WAY OF PEACE.

How we may know the way of peace?

This is what we have heard about John the Baptist and his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,

““And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest;
For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,

To give knowledge of salvation to His people
By the remission of their sins,

Through the tender mercy of our God,
With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;

To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,
TO GUIDE OUR FEET INTO THE WAY OF PEACE.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:76-79‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So John the Baptist, a man sent by God. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that is, Christ that gives light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, TO GUIDE OUR FEET INTO THE WAY OF PEACE.

So beloved one, let us receive John the Baptist’s witness, that Christ that may give light TO GUIDE OUR FEET INTO THE WAY OF PEACE.

Are we considering how Christ gives light TO GUIDE OUR FEET INTO THE WAY OF PEACE ?

This is what we have heard:

“Your WORD is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So His WORD gives a light to our paths, for His WORD guide our feet into the way of peace.

Therefore, beloved one, say not to yourself and others, that you’re just a wretch in the face of the Word, for you knew not what you were saying.

So beloved one, let us take heed His word, that we may know the path of peace, that He may guide our feet into the way of peace.

Beloved one, I don’t commandeer the word, as you perceived, but I let His word guide me into the way of peace, that I may abide in the peace of Christ.

May God’s peace be with you. To God the Father be thanksgiving through Christ.
Amen

Beloved ones, this is what we have heard:

holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine,
both TO EXHORT and convict those who contradict.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So we should exhort by holding fast the faithful word as we have been taught, for we are abled by sound doctrine.

Selah

How we shall know concerning the sound doctrine ?

This is what we have heard our Lord Jesus said:

“Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.

He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭7:16-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, so the doctrine is not ours but His who sent us, so let us will to do His will, for we shall know concerning the doctrine.

Let us also seek the the glory of the One who sent us is true, and no unrighteousness is in us who are in union in Him.

So let us hold us the faithful word,
as we have been taught, for we are abled, by sound doctrine,
both TO EXHORT and convict those who contradict.

So let us exhort by sound doctrine, that we may not be hardened through deceitfulness of sin.

To God the Father be thanksgiving through Christ. Amen.
