They are in much less of a position to than the West - I’m not sure how a ‘well they aren’t doing it so why should we’ attitude really helps. A smart business adapts - smart countries adapt to. Retraining programs for workers in traditional industries could be a lot more useful for developed economies than dragging out a failing scenario, putting off the problem for someone else to deal with. If the US is concerned about what China is doing, Trump needs to take some interest in Asia beyond tweets and showy gestures.

President Carter separated from the US Navy prior to the first nuclear sub being put into service. Given your posts perpetual cries of "cake news" I would think that facts would be important.

What's the difference between water at 10 degree C and 11 degrees C or any other one degree difference aside from the melting and boiling points? If they are all not answered with the same answer as your question would be, then your example is the exception ( one of only two points in which a one degree difference actually is a big deal for water ) and not the rule( every other one degree difference in water temperature) therefore it is inapt and using it as an analogy to what is actually occurring, which would conform to the rule rather than the exception, is inept.

Why is it so difficult to answer what the difference between water at 0°C and 1°C? Do you understand why that temperature is different from one between 10°C and 11°C despite having the same difference in temperature? Considering we're talking global temperature, do you see why the 0°C to 1°C change may be important? Another factor to consider is there's a reason why shoveling a walkway partially and leaving behind some snow will still result in that snow melting and evaporating, do you know why that occurs? And do you understand why that is more of a problem that is analogous to what happens at the North Pole?

Yes, well I hope he does pull something out of the bag, it's in everyone's interests for him to increase US economic clout in Asia, it just seems that he's not really all that interested in doing so. Not sure how I can support him in whatever he has planned.

The loss of Arctic sea ice will not have a significant contribution to sea level rise since this is floating ice that is already 90% submerged. It is land based glaciers and ice shelves that will be the major contributors.

While the loss of Arctic sea ice does not significantly contribute to sea level rise, it does significantly contribute to increase warming in oceans as the the sea ice, which usually reflects sunlight, is now replaced with oceans, that will absorb more sunlight and increase warming.

Releasing CO2 causes an increase in global temperatures. That's a fact. Denying this is as absurd as flat Earth theories but this will actually cause permanent damage.
