There's a lot of unfettered BS that has crept into public schools here. Catholic topics like the Crusades and the Inquisition being bad things, the myths of the Dark Ages, Renaissance and Enlightenment (Dark Ages = bad, Renaissance and Enlightenment = good), that science must be anti-religion, and so on. The politics taught in school are ridiculous.
