Is anyone else following (or trying to) how events are unfolding around this? Most of what I can find is gleaned from FB feeds, so it's more than a bit selective.

It was at least lovely to see this pop up: women bishops at Lambeth, 24 years ago, and today.

The full text of Archbishop Welby's letter to the bishops is here: Archbishop Welby clarifies his views on the 1998 Lambeth Resolution 1.10 on human sexuality in a letter to bishops attending the 2022 Lambeth Conference | Anglican Ink © 2022

He seems to be walking very carefully through our current landscape of divided opinion. If Resolution 1.10 was indeed passed by the bishops and has not been rescinded, then the resolution stands, and the Archbishop is correct to acknowledge that. I appreciate that in his words quoted in The Guardian, he acknowledges the strongly differing feelings, moral convictions, and cultural contexts faced by the national churches in our various parts of the world.

This is a difficult time to be giving pastoral care to Anglicans across the globe. I think that Archbishop Welby is doing as good a job as can be done.
