I'm sure we've all heard of Last Thursdayism, the idea that the entire universe was created last Thursday and simply has the appearance of being older, such as our memories of the past.

Do you find this idea plausible at all? If you do, why? If not, why not?
Don't believe it. I wasn't born yesterday you know!

No, but plausibility is relative.

Because God put in writing what He did, what order He did it in, when He did it, where He did it, why He did it, how He did it, how long it took Him to do it, why it took Him that long, and who the eyewitnesses were (some mentioned by name).

Maybe it was someone else who did it, and the Bible is part of that. I mean, the Bible was written long before Last Thursday.

That's not an option.

Note here, where Jesus references both Genesis 1 and 2 as Scripture:

Matthew 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

I'm sure I've mentioned how it's troublesome to start with your conclusion and then find a way to fit the evidence into it.

If I recant do i get the rack anyway?

Yes, but when you leave this mortal coil, you go to where it is always Thursday and they have the steak special. On Wednesdays, they just have that really bad potato salad.

Reminds me of a New Yorker cartoon,
freshly arrived couple at the gates of Hell.

Fellow with horns behind a podium

" Your choice of salad dressing?"

Steak....and me, a mostly vegetarian except
for like squid or some kinds of fish.

No. It unnecessarily complicated. Some... thing(?) had to devise all this everything in every last detail. Its offensively grandiose.

I think mine may be an aesthetic objection more than anything.

There are so many conspiracy theories out there I just can't keep track of them any longer.

But that doesnt work if it all emerged last Thursday, including the scripture. There's no rational appeal to scripture that can save you here.

Basically you have to fall back on faith that scripture is what it says it is, which is fine if it works for you.

But it can't do that, since every single day would have to be a product of Last Thursdayism.

Every day, the universe would have to emerge again.
