I don't know. Bill Nye is a decent honest man. Decent honest people sometimes have difficulty debating with people that are not afraid to lie to defend their beliefs.
The problems start when the religious person is allowed to assume there is a god without saying how or why there should be, after that any discussion just goes downhill, if you start with a false premise disaster soon follows.

Sock puppet? Why do you have a presby icon when it is clear you are not a believer?

Yeah, so is Ken Ham. Again with the bigotry, eh?

Ken Ham is a Christian. Not a creationist

The man owns a museum that features a dinosaur with a saddle. He's a creationist, okay?

So someone that does not believe God's word, calling him out, is hardly supporting your side.

OEC's believe in God's word. Perhaps they interpret it differently than YECs do, but they still believe. And none of that negates Ham's lying - did you even click on the link?

So you say the two just interpret the bible differently and you choose one side that you think is lying. How does that work exactly?

I'll tell you. If they believe things that align with your false evolution theory then you say it is truth. If it doesn't, it is a lie.

So stop with the empty accusations and actually debate the issue, please.

No, the article showed how Ken was lying. He deliberately misrepresented an OEC position. It doesn't even have anything to do with my position on Ham's beliefs - even if I were a creationist, I'd still say Ken was a liar, because he's been shown to say deceitful things.

If they believe things that align with your false evolution theory then you say it is truth.

Um, no. This is from an OEC site. Old-Earth Creationism. While that can include theistic evolution, it also includes things like gap theory and progressive creation, which don't mix with evolutionary theory at all.

Ken Ham is a Christian. Not a creationist.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive. Ken Ham is both.

He follows the bible, God's word.

I bet he really doesn't, and neither do you.

So someone that does not believe God's word, calling him out, is hardly supporting your side.

No. Ken Ham's own actions are more than enough supporting evidence that he is a liar and a fraud.

Ken Ham's even received flak from his fellow YECs. He and AiG were banned from the Great Homeschool Convention.

After much prayer and deliberation over the weekend, Great Homeschool Convention’s Advisory Board has unanimously decided to disinvite Ken and AIG from all future conventions, including the Cincinnati convention next week. The Board believes this to be the Lord’s will for our convention and searched the Scriptures for the mind of the Lord and the leadership of the Holy Spirit before arriving at this decision. The Board believes that Ken’s public criticism of the convention itself and other speakers at our convention require him to surrender the spiritual privilege of addressing our homeschool audience. Please know that our Board is 100% young earth and we largely share AIG’s perspective from a scientific standpoint. That is why Ken was originally invited and treated so graciously and extremely generously in Memphis and Greenville (far beyond what we do for other speakers or their ministries). Our expression of sacrifice and extraordinary kindness towards Ken and AIG has been returned to us and our attendees with Ken publicly attacking our conventions and other speakers. Our Board believes Ken’s comments to be unnecessary, ungodly, and mean-spirited statements that are divisive at best and defamatory at worst.

What more need be said, really?
