It won't happen. I'd wager most politicians, especially people like trump, don't care about abortion but know it's a calling card they can play and instantly get voters despite being the antithesis of Christian in every other regard.

It worked for Trump.

I hate how abortion has so easily be turned into a "good vs evil" argument.

The issue is complex but anti-abortionists make it cartoon simple. You have an abortion, you are a baby killer. Period.

Similarly, those on the Right have figured out how to milk this emotion for all its worth. Simply whip your based up into an anti-abortion frenzy, point them at the godless soul-less abortion loving liberals, and then shout "follow me and I will end abortion"... Like a scene from Braveheart, the anti-abortion crowd charges onto the abortion battlefield ready and eager to do battle with the forces of evil no matter the odds...

The truth about abortion is complex. Here is the abortion data... it clearly shows the abortion rate has been following for years, decades, and it also shows that groups like Planned Parenthood are actually responsible for the decreasing rate. Yes, that's right. Planned Parenthood and other groups that promote contraceptive usage, are proven to decreased the abortion rate...

The big numbers or the "murder" part? I believe 100% in both. I can't believe that anyone is naive enough not to believe both.

I believe it too, but Kavanaugh's presence on the court isn't going to overturn Roe v. Wade. The right leaning judges won't even attempt to do so.

There are reasons for that.

1.) Christians are the minority in this country (believe it or not its an actual fact)

2) At this point the fight is to keep our religious freedoms.

3) paramount is making certain this country isn't taken from the path our founders intended.

Think about it. Someone on the left can refuse to make a dress for Melania Trump because of her political views, but a baker can't follow what he believes is his conscious before God.

A coach cannot pray with his team before a game, even if all the parents agree that's its fine to do so..

The list goes on but as Christians - if Christians - come to be more and more in the minority we will need a strong court to protect our religious freedoms.. public prayer, not losing our jobs because of our religious beliefs and more are all at stake..

That is why we needed Kavanaugh.. not to send this country into a civil war but to start protecting our religious freedoms, and indeed uphold the values of the constitution for the next generation.

It's official. The left failed to frame an innocent man. Thank God.
Now it would be nice to see some trials for all those perjuring themselves, or otherwise trying to pervert the course of justice. If it's found that these people were conspiring or lying to convict an innocent man for rape, they should be subjected to the exact same punishments as he would have been, were he found guilty.

However, this has allowed many women to harlot around, without as much fear of the consequences.
It is absurd, crazy statements like this that rightfully make the Christian right a laughingstock.

Probably what this means is that too many treat sex as a casual activity, when it is a holy responsibility given by God which includes marriage, and the responsibility for caring for and raising the fruit it produces.

To murder innocent children for the convenience of sustaining such a sacriligious lifestyle is an abomination to civilisation.

I'm hopefull that Roe v. Wade might be overturned.
What, to keep Republicans from winning another election for a generation? If you think the polls showing them losing the house now are bad, I'd be very cautious of the backlash from such regressive judicial activism.

Funny how just a few days ago it was all "where's the evidence". Now it is "despite the lack of evidence, trials for everyone who dared to question dear leader's choice for our glorious future".

Just reinforces the idea that anti-abortion views are really just about people being upset that women have sex.

Nope. A lack of evidence does not mean someone committed perjury or conspired to pervert the course of justice. Please don't project your standards onto others.

Fair enough, but to use “harlot around” is an extreme exaggeration. And this kind of wild inflammatory rhetoric is almost exclusively a right wing thing. And this can be demonstrated right here at CF.

Is it? It depends on the holiness you place on Godliness, I think. Whether an altar is defiled once, or a thousand times, it is still an abomination.

It worked for Trump.
It does not work unless the politician involved puts some results behind the words. Trump has done that.

In the end, politics is the art of getting things done. Those who are pro-life voters don't bother overly much--nor should they--with psychoanalyzing the speaker so long as he follows through on the promises.

Enough black babies have been murdered by their mothers, in the US, to increase the black population 150%.
Wow, that number has to be far worse amongst white women.
However, this has allowed many women to harlot around, without as much fear of the consequences.
And here I thought that men had something to do with the process.
That was the entire basis of the women protesting against Kavanaugh.
Wow, that many women are sexually assaulted by men!!! Thanks for all the info.

I understand this is probably an exercise in futility, however:

I hate how abortion has so easily be turned into a "good vs evil" argument.

Fundamentally at all levels that is exactly what it is. For proof of that you need look no farther than the story of pro-choice (read abortion) icon Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell lived, practiced, and thrived in the pro-choice world the American left created. This is what you are defending.

I've been on both sides of this issue, and based on my life experience less than 1% of the people I've ever met in my entire life are pro-abortion.

That is the standard trope, that the pro-choice crowd is motivated by tolerance and compassion, sensitivity to and concern for women, blah blah blah. The truth is the pro-choice (read abortion) crowd is comprised of the standard leftist militant class, fueled by hate and willing to use any means necessary to protect the so-called right to abortion.

Watch this video and note the difference in behavior between the pro-choice and the pro-life groups:

No one likes abortion.

These people do:

th

Even the victim of rape getting an abortion doesn't like it and wishes she didn't have to do it.

As assertion entered without supporting evidence. You don't know that, you simple assume to know the minds of people you have neither met or spoken to.

The issue is complex but anti-abortionists make it cartoon simple. You have an abortion, you are a baby killer. Period.

You have an abortion, you have taken a life. That is true by every measurable standard, particularly with regard to genetics and embryology.

I have always found it amazing how the left in general will stick their noses in the air and righteously pontificate concerning the unassailable value and unquestionable truth of science in regard to promoting a subject like climate change while at the same time completely dismissing any mention of or even the existence of the science of reproduction.

To the pro-abortion crowd, in regard to abortion science can take a hike.

There are a number of words to account for the motivations of the pro-life crowd, none of which you applied. Those words include courage, dignity, discernment, honesty, and true compassion. The Pro-life crowd understands exactly what they are up against, and exactly why it must be defeated.

Here, read it for yourself. Quote:

"We recognize that women are full human beings who must have the right – through unrestricted and unstigmatized access to birth control and abortion – to decide for themselves when and whether they will have children. We reject the view that a woman's highest purpose and fundamental “duty” is to bear children, even those she does not want or cannot care for.

Abortion On Demand and Without Apology!"

What do you think the term "unrestricted" means as used in this statement?

What do you think the term "when" means as used in this statement?

What do you think the phrase "Abortion On Demand and Without Apology" means when used to support the overall statement?

The truth about abortion is complex. Here is the abortion data... it clearly shows the abortion rate has been following for years, decades, and it also shows that groups like Planned Parenthood are actually responsible for the decreasing rate. Yes, that's right. Planned Parenthood and other groups that promote contraceptive usage, are proven to decreased the abortion rate...

According to their own report, Planned Parenthood performed 328,348 abortions for the years 2015-2016 alone. That is why we fight with them.

This entire issue is a giant red herring that is a control device by those in power. The Right has been completely hijacked and brained washed on this issue, so much so that nothing else matters...

If you want to see actual brain-washing in practice, watch the oh-so tolerant liberal in this video:

It's not complex, at all. Abortion is the taking of an innocent life. It is the ultimate evil (along with legal sodomy - a close second) that defines today's supremely evil US liberal-based socialistic society. For anyone whose thinking is so warped and distorted that they don't believe abortion is purely 100% murder, I'm sure that God will have something to say to them about that.

ABORTION IS MURDER!!!!!!!, PERIOD!!!!!!!

Agree, but the issue is wider than that. The American “right” has given itself permission to believe all sorts of implausible things: birtherism, the wall as not xenophobic, the press is giving fake news, global warming is a myth.

And, sadly, on and on and on.

It seems to me that if enough people agree to believe in stupid things, they can feel comfortable about such beliefs,.
