Justifiable Propaganda? (Ukraine's policy of notifying Russian families of deceased family members)

Ukraine is pushing Russia back and will win. They are not in the position of needing to beg for peace. Putin’s shelf life is coming to an end in the coming months.

Basically there has been a lot of prayer, and that is why, bad as things are, things are not currently as bad as they might have been. I am sure many Ukrainian might be thanking God for his mercies in this.

Russia, you are our neighbour, we don't wish to fight with you, can we talk about ways we might resolve the difficulties we have had? Too simple?

That's too nice after they have killed thousands and thousands of your people, raped some of your women, and flattened miles and miles of your homes, businesses, hospitals etc. Not to mention gone out of their way to deliberately target your fleeing civilians baiting them with false offers of safe corridors and such.

Do they send letters to the deceased next of kin?

Letter + coffin, if the body is retrieved. As the invasion has not been declared an official war, associated benefits are reduced. Families who go public with their loss may lose all benefits, anyone calling it a war can be prosecuted and if convicted face up to 15 years in prison.
