Sanders: Trump and Kim Jong Un agree on assessment of Biden

    Hi all,

I read this article that claims to be a report of some things that press secretary Sanders said was the position of the President.

I was just curious whether or not anyone else thought it odd that the President of the United States is now supporting his feelings about others by claiming to be in agreement with dictators of totalitarian regimes. I mean, are we really to be supportive, or in agreement, of President Trump's understanding of Joe Biden, as being the correct understanding of the man, because Kim Jung Un agrees with President Trump? I understand that Joe Biden was at one time the vice-president, but has Kim Jung Un ever met the man? I mean, does Kim Jung Un have any first hand experience as to what Biden is like?

Then other reports say that President Trump said that Kim Jung Un said that Biden was a 'low IQ person'. Do we have any evidence that Kim actually said that. That just doesn't sound like Kim, but rather a regurgitated recording of what President Trump thinks of Biden. I've watched President Trump through out his term in office and there is a ploy that he uses to get us to agree with him. He often makes some muddling comment that everyone, or those in attendance, or those listening to him, agree with him. Never offering any evidence that they do, but just throwing it out there that they do.

For the weak of mind, which everyone agrees Washington is full of, it makes them think that what the President is saying must be true, because he says that everyone agrees with him. I will give President Trump full credit that he is a consummate carpetbagger.

Anyway, just wondered if I was the only one who thought it strange that our President was trying to sell us on his way being the right way because a totalitarian dictator agreed with him.

    God bless,
    In Christ, ted

It seems to me that the low I.Q remark is simply meant as an insult spoken in a condescending spirit, rather than any constructive criticism. Constructive criticism would have an explanation as to why someone is regarded as Low I.Q. so as to be corrective in intent. Hence Trump and Kim and everyone and anyone who might or would agree with Trump, are wrong, since such remarks violate the Spirit of Christ which causes us to love others as we would want to be loved.

Trump has violated this commandment similarly so many times it's abundantly clear that it's a common practice for Trump. Of course it's also clear he cannot help himself, for he lacks the Spiritual gift that would convict him of his error and show him why what he does and says is wrong.

    Hi childeye,

I agree with your assessment of President Trump's abilities in this matter. My point, however, is that we are at this point in our nation's history where we now have our leaders telling us that their position on anything is correct or supported by another leader of a totally different form of governance that is know to kill its detractors and has total media lockdown over what gets reported to the people.

I mean, the next thing we're going to see is President Trump telling us that we should go to war against Iran because Vladimir Putin agrees with him and thinks it's the right thing to do. It just seems so totally ridiculous to me and I can't imagine a leader of the United States ever using the support of a leader of a totalitarian, despotic regime to support their position on anything. From time to time we'll read that one of our allies supports some effort against another nation, but that N. Korea is now our BFF in political thinking? Really?

I mean, if I were in the position to give the president advice on such a matter, I'd likely take him aside and tell him that using Kim Jung Un to support his position isn't likely to be accepted well by the citizenry of the United States. Most U.S. citizens don't trust the N. Korean government. I mean we've been at odds with them for quite a long time and are even now officially still at war with them over the Korean conflict. As late as February of this year, the Times printed an article that Trump and Kim could declare an end to the Korean war.

So, this is who President Trump now tells us we should use to support his assessment of Joe Biden? I just don't see it.

    God bless,
    In Christ, ted

After watching Trump's campaign for the Presidency, and two years in office, and after reading the Mueller report, are you really honestly surprised by what comes out of his mouth?

    Hi childeye,

I've had an outside curiosity concerning Donald Trump for many years before this political fiasco. No, it's been probably since I've known about the man that I haven't been surprised about what comes out of his mouth. What surprises me is how boldly the Scriptures seem to be right about the future again. How gullible we truly seem to be as a people. How someone who foments hate, pretty much the same as Adolph Hitler did, can get away with that in my nation. That's what surprises me.

    Hi SOTK,

Well, yes. However, neither does it mean that it's true. So, where do we go from here? Let me ask you, what is Joe Biden's IQ? Do you know? Do you have any evidence, as IQ's are measured, that Biden has a low IQ?

As for President Trump, it's just his nature to make up derogatory names for people. It's how he fights back. Pretty much like any fifth grader would attack. Name calling and smearing everything about the person with a lot of claims that are just mean things to say, but not necessarily backed up by any evidence.

Personally, I'd be willing to bet that if we sat both men down today and gave them an IQ test of some kind, that President Trump would likely come in a lot lower than a lot of people. But, I don't have any hard evidence of that and so I can only say that it is my personal opinion on the matter and leave it at that.

I do understand that a lot of people feel differently concerning the matter. But does anyone have any hard evidence that Joe Biden's IQ is in the 'low' range?

Neither Kim nor Trump seem well-positioned to talk about IQs.

Well said. It is definitely hard to believe that the electorate could vote for such a person. It even causes me to wonder about the security of the election process in the current digital age. But as to your point pertaining to scriptural fulfillment, my only peace is that God sees all and everything works according to His greater purpose. But I trust that you know that we are not alone in seeing what we see. Many see the same thing.

With a dictator of one particular regime concerning one point, that point being Joe Biden is an idiot. And guess what? They are both correct.

Logic demands the simple fact one may be a dictator does not negate every word they may speak. If Kim were to state people should not lie, are we all to become liars just to show we are not in agreement with Chairman Kim?

Biden is an intellectual lightweight. Of that there is no question. The fact Kim believes the same does not endear me to Kim. I just understand on this one particular point he happens to be correct.

This is a false comparison. We are to believe Joe Biden is an intellectual lightweight because Jon Biden is an intellectual lightweight. The fact Kim and our President may be in agreement concerning that truth is independent of the fact Biden is an intellectual lightweight in regard to our support for the statement. We are in agreement with President Trump's assessment of Joe Biden not because Chairman Kim happens to agree Biden is an intellectual lightweight but rather because Biden is an intellectual lightweight.

Have you? However there exist tools to aid understanding. Tools such as Youtube, cable television, print news, late night comics, yada yada yada.

When you watch a video of Joe Biden looking straight at a guy in a wheelchair and then shouting out "Stand up, Chuck!", actually meeting the guy grows less important.

No, probably not. Given during the Obama years the issue of Kim and his countries development of nuclear weapons was ignored by that administration, they never had the opportunity to meet. However even Kim has access to Youtube.

    Hi sistrin,

Thanks for your response. You responded:
Are you privy to Biden's IQ measurement? Have you got some evidence that Biden is particularly less smart than President Trump? Or anyone else for that matter.

You seem to make that claim as if you have proof that Biden is what you would consider an intellectual lightweight. Would you be willing to share that evidence?

You see, what I know that I know about President Trump is that he regularly and often cuts people down with just words that don't really have any substantive evidence that they are true. 'Sleepy' Joe Biden. Why is he sleepy? Doesn't he get to bed at a fairly reasonable time to get a good night's sleep? For me, President Trump just picked that descriptor because he knows that it makes the man look bad, not that it's necessarily a true statement. He refers to some other nations as 'sh_thole' countries. It's just his nature to make derogatory and disparaging attachments to people's names. It's his way of fighting and building up his own superiority. Some people buy into that. I don't.

For me, the man made the comment, and apparently so did Kim Jong Un that Biden has a low IQ or is intellectually inferior. I'm just asking what evidence we have to believe those are true statements. Does anyone have the measure of Joe Biden's IQ?

He attended the University of Delaware and then Syracuse College of Law. He was the fifth youngest U.S. Senator to ever be elected and is Delaware's longest serving Senator. That doesn't sound to me like someone who is particularly unwise or uneducated or would have a low IQ. Do you believe he has a low IQ? Do you have any evidence that he does.

My guess...Donald Trump sees him as a pretty smart person, after all, he's leading in some of the polls against him. But, in order to get you to think that he's somehow intellectually inferior, he once again makes up some derogatory name to get you to do exactly what you're doing. Donald Trump reads the polls. He knows who has the best chance to unseat him and he will, as he always does, use derogatory and defaming names and accusations to tear that person down. He's gotten you to agree with him without your even giving the slightest consideration to whether or not the claims are true...unless, of course, you do have that evidence I've asked for.

    In Christ, ted

Well Ted, I'm not sure geriatric Joe will make it to the election alive, or whether dementia will get him beforehand.

You may be able to hide someone in a wheelchair, think FDR, they won't be able to hide Joes diminishing brain and his flubbing tongue.

    Hi M,

Well, I'm willing to wait and see what happens. I know he's got a lot more stamina than I have. I really don't know anything about his mental measurements, which is why I keep asking these who say the he doesn't, what they're basing that on? Any takers? As far as 'mental agility'? In listening to many of President Trump's speeches he seems to go off point and ramble through a lot of garbage to get through his public speaking appearances. He leaves thoughts hanging. He'll just start in on some issue and then in the middle of speaking about that issue he'll go off into the wild blue yonder and nobody knows what point he was initially going to try to make. I imagine that most anyone with a reasonable education and reasonably good speaking habits doesn't have better mental agility than President Turmp. However, that's just me. I've always tried to be someone who speaks concisely and to the point about a subject or issue until I have completed that thought with some cogency and then move on to the next. Leaving a clear trail of clear and complete points to my arguments or explanations. But, that's just me.

Personally, in a head to head debate off, I think Joe Biden would hold his own very well against Trump.

Do you know how to use Youtube?

    Never-mind. Lets just start here:

This photo was taken on Tuesday the 27th, only weeks after Biden issued statements insisting he understood the need not to invade people's personal space and get all handsy with little girls. This ten year old girl asked Biden a question concerning political division in the United States.

Biden's response? “I’ll bet you’re as bright as you are good-looking.”

    Yeah he is a genius.

    Hi sistrin,

Yes, I know how to use youtube. However, I choose not to use youtube for a news source as it is so easily falsified and edited. Isn't it youtube where President Trump found the doctored video of Pelosi. Isn't it youtube with all the videos of President Bush and President Obama being the antichrist? Thanks but no thanks. I still choose to get my news from what I believe to be a more reliable source.

As far as the pic that you posted from youtube. I'm the same way. I help in our local Good News Club at one of our elementary schools and I'm the kind of person who believes that the human touch is a very important part of communicating care and concern to another. I eschew this idea that touching someone else is like unto some great sin or wrongdoing. I've worked in a lot of offices in my day and I have nothing against a boss or co-worker putting a hand on a shoulder while talking to someone. I just left a grade school awards ceremony today and a child of one my friends got an award and after the service I came up behind the child and put my hands on their shoulder just about like Biden is doing in that picture and put my head down by their ear and told them that they did a good job and that I was proud of them. So, no, I don't have a problem with someone putting their hands on someone else as a way of showing care and concern.

I notice that even in retirement, he puts in longer hours than Donald Trump does...

Donald Trump Spends 60 Percent of His Time Doing…?
But beyond that, the schedules also showed that 60 percent of Trump’s time — or 297 hours — during the past three months was spent in “Executive Time.” And while each day’s schedule typically starts out with Trump in “Location: Oval Office” from 8 to 11 a.m., six (!!!) sources told Axios that he “is never in the Oval during those hours.” Per Axios:

Instead, he spends his mornings in the residence, watching TV, reading the papers, and responding to what he sees and reads by phoning aides, members of Congress, friends, administration officials and informal advisers.

Of course, the concept of Trump’s “Executive Time” isn’t new. In January 2018, Axios obtained Trump’s private schedule from that period, which showed he also spent several hours in “Executive Time.” And an October report by Politico delved into what exactly these hours of blocked off time truly entails; in essence, it’s when Trump gets to do whatever he wants — namely, gets to call friends, tweet, and watch TV during the work day.

Axios notes in the Sunday report that occasionally, some of Trump’s meetings will fall under his schedule as “Executive Time” so as to avoid leaks. Additionally, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Axios that Trump has a “different leadership style than his predecessors
Donald Trump Spends 60 Percent of His Time Doing…?

Ya think? Now, I'll grant you that Trump used to be a lot more active and a lot sharper than he is now. But even then, he wasn't up to Biden's schedule.

We really don't know the degree to which Trump is impaired; his frequent slurring of words, smaller vocabulary, and simpler sentences suggest a general decline, as does his drastically abbreviated workday.

I think maybe I'll try Trump's story on Mrs. Barbarian.

"I'm not doing nothing. This is executive time."

    (Barbarian reflects...)

    No, maybe I won't.

    Hi sistrin,

Your youtube reference included this little story.
So, your mind immediately went to the, "Oh my Lord, he's trying to seduce that little 10 year old girl in front of God and everybody!" Just to show you the difference that love makes, my mind said, "What a nice thing to say that little girl to build up her confidence and show that she is appreciated."

I don't know but maybe you were abused as a child or even an adult and now find that human touch and kind words about another's appearance is all done only in an effort to display some form of sexual wrongdoing. I have spoken with people who, like you, cringe at the thought of someone else touching them and I have always felt that the problem wasn't the toucher but the touchee. Why do some of us harbor such anxiety about someone else touching us? I touch people all the time when I'm talking to them. I hug both men and women in a lot of greeting situations. I think I'm a fairly normal person.

So, even if I did use youtube for my news source, I wouldn't have had the same reaction to the picture you posted as you apparently did. Joe Biden's a grandfather and he talks to young children like a grandfather talks to his grandchildren. He hugs and holds and touches as a way of communicating that he cares and loves them. Not some sick incestual or pedophilic love, but just the normal love and concern that we all ought to have for one another. Just as Jesus said, they will know you are mine by your love for one another. Love is very, very often expressed in tactile gestures.

When a co-worker or friend suffers some serious crisis we often, both men and women, will hold and hug the other person as they cry out. Comforting them by speaking softly into their ear as we hold them close. It doesn't mean that anyone wants to have sex. It has for thousands of years been the way that human beings have communicated concern for another.

There is a sick part of our society that thinks that touching always means to intend some sexual intent. There are people who believe that David and Jonathon had a homosexual relationship because of the times the Scriptures talk about them touching each other. There have been social studies that have shown that touching is the best way to show care and concern for another. But we live in a society that fears that touching absolutely intends sexual intentions. Schools tell students that they can't hug in the hallways. Really???

    God bless,
    In Christ, ted

To clear up your confusion, yes, the "any takers" are telling you Biden is, at best, an old and out of touch semi-geriatric geezer, who has trouble staying on point and keeping his hands off little girls and his nose from sniffing women's hair.

You and other "any takers" are free with your assessments of President Trump, so you are getting assessments of sniffin Joe.

Your homespun demeanor is not really hiding your thoughts, Ted. Your defense of Biden is transparent.

That is the name of the game now, no one respects anyone in politics, so stand up for your guy while you feign innocence against President "Turmp", as you call him.

And so we will wait. Wait to see if Joe has the stamina and mental agility to face Trump in debates how Joe and Barry are responsible for the economy, and all the other issues that will surface late next year. Ought to be good theatre.
