End times predictions are numbered like grains of sand on a beach! Ignore, and move on.
Just a heads up: age of Grace is coming to an end
Page 2 of 9
Guess what didn't happen.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
To say that the "age of grace" is coming to an end is to say that we are living in "the end times" and the period in which the gospel of grace is being preached is coming to an end.
Perhaps that's not what the OP meant, but certainly seems that way. False prophecies and Dispensationalist nonsense, however, probably shouldn't be taken very seriously in any event.
The Christian world, especially in the perilous times that we are living in, needs closure and the bride needs to be consecrated with her bridegroom.
Grace played its part for the better part of the last 2000 years and humanity has exponentially become evil, knowing and executing every perverse action that comes from a reprobate mind. Justice must come, for the sake of the righteous loyal of Christ Jesus, because there is the righteous God who sees all and knows all.
Let me inform you brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, that God from day one was always in control, but what has he been doing?
When I was growing up as a child, around the age of 2-3 years of age, I wanted to see God and know him. I discovered something that he put in me, that opened me right up spiritually, in understanding the mind of God, this would later come in my adult years, 40 years later.
As a child I used to play board games like backgammon by myself and I would be intrigued on how I can stretch out a game, by allowing the other side to get the best of me, then I would try to flip the game towards the end, in a way that challenged me. Every time I played the game, the more I tried to push the envelope of looking in the face of defeat. I really got a kick out of that.
I have come to realise that God looks upon his enemies in the same way I used to play backgammon by myself, in that I played both sides against each other and sat back and watched, and towards the end God allows the weak to be compromised to the expectation of defeat, only to turn the game around in a climactic way. God is playing both sides, for he is allowing the enemy to get away with it, to a point where the enemy sees victory in sight, hence the realisation of their New World Order, under an Antichrist figure. God then springs into action, by unleashing something the world has never ever imagined or witnessed and Satan the great deceiver, becomes deceived at his own game.
Where can we find this game play of God in scripture and within the context of the coming of Jesus Christ to judge the quick and the dead?
Please note, that Jerusalem is a spiritual city where the temple of God is and where God dwells. In the Old Testament it was earthly Jerusalem, because the temple was physical and the Aaronic priesthood matched that physical earthly temple. Yet post Pentecost, the Temple becomes spiritual and God dwells with man and therefore Jerusalem becomes a spiritual fenceless city, which is the Church. Do you understand my brothers and sisters! (It is a statement in confidence)
So let us now look at scripture that exemplifies what I have said thus far.....
Lord comes for his Bride....
1A day of the Lord is coming, Jerusalem/Church, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls.
2I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem/Church to fight against it; the city/Church will be captured, the houses/Church ransacked, and the women/denominations raped. Half of the city/Church will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city/Church. 3Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. (Zechariah 14:1-3)
Just like the story of Job, we are to expect that God will allow the enemy of his Son's Church to encroach on the Holy Spiritual fenceless City Jerusalem, allowing the enemy to plunder it from within and without. He will do this in the same way I challenged myself in backgammon, where I played both sides against each other and stood back and watched. In backgammon your pieces can be encroached upon, whereby the enemy can pull them out of the game altogether, hence the statement half of Christianity will be exiled, meaning removed as sacrificial pawns, yet the ones that are not taken, will be left on the board game, for the Lord to use in his master piece of master piece moves that will demoralise the enemy in a way where the victors crown will be removed from them, who thought its was in their very grasp, only for victory to be snatched right out of their hands in the mother of all smack down of smack downs. Do you understand?
We are at that very stage, so expect as part of the falling away, for Christianity to reduce significantly in numbers and the enemy celebrating their victory early, after winning battle after battle, only to play into the hands of God and to loose the war towards the end.
Where do some Christians stand with Jesus Christ, because if some are lukewarm, then count them as sacrificial pawns as the worldly events are unraveling. If lukewarmers support what the enemy wants them to embrace and support, then count them excluded from the City Jerusalem as pawns handed to the enemy, without any effort what so ever, as simple as a transaction for nothing.
Where do Christians stand in the times we are living in....
Are you a dead ender for Christ Jesus, meaning are you prepared to die for your Lord?
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)
Who dares to play with God
I saw Satan upon his release as a demoralised opponent, who wanted it to quickly end. Satan has lost all hope and he knows his time is short, so what will he resort to?
Persecute the faithful Christians who hold to God's times and laws without flinching.
Mark my words, many Christians will say why has God done this to us. They will be disillusioned.
how long do you think the current trend of escalating hostility towards believers continues before it finally becomes full on persecution?
People who dismiss the importance of end times observances and predictions are just as foolish as those who say they know the day or the hour. Jesus did say that we do not know the day or the hour, but He also said we will know the season of those times based on the fulfillment of the signs He explicated, that "when you see all these things [listed in Matthew 24], you know that He is near, at the very gates (Matthew 24:33)."
Also, contrary to the reasoning of many about the futility of being watchful for end times fulfillment based on not knowing the day or the hour, it is precisely because we do not know the day or the hour that Jesus said to remain vigilant, to "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour (Matthew 25:13)." Not to mention that end times prophecy is comparable to Messianic prophecy in terms of the volume of content dedicated to disclosing it for our anticipation and reward for wise and accurate (as opposed to zealous and incomplete) observance.
"Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into." (Matthew 24:43)
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Rev. 16:13, 14.
By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation [the United States] will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.
Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience. ..
Papists, Protestants, and worldling will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium.
When our nation [the United States] shall so abjure the principles of its government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with popery; it will be nothing else than giving life to the tyranny which has long been eagerly watching its opportunity to spring again into active despotism.
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Matt. 24:23.
Before the last developments of the work of apostasy there will be a confusion of faith. There will not be clear and definite ideas concerning the mystery of God. One truth after another will be corrupted.
After the truth has been proclaimed as a witness to all nations, every conceivable power of evil will be set in operation, and minds will be confused by many voices crying. "Lo, here is Christ; lo, He is there. This is the truth, I have the message from God, He has sent me with great light." Then there will be a removing of the landmarks, and an attempt to tear down the pillars of our faith. A more decided effort will be made to exalt the false sabbath, and to cast contempt upon God Himself by supplanting the day He has blessed and sanctified. This false sabbath is to be enforced by an oppressive law.
In the future, deception of every kind is to arise, and we want solid ground for our feet. We want solid pillars for the building. Not one pin is to be removed from that which the Lord has established. The enemy will bring in false theories, such as the doctrine that there is no sanctuary. This is one of the points on which there will be a departing from the faith.
There will be false dreams and false visions, which have some truth, but lead away from the original faith. The Lord has given men a rule by which to detect them: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isa. 8:20).
As we near the end of time, falsehood will be so mingled with truth, that only those who have the guidance of the Holy Spirit will be able to distinguish truth from error. We need to make every effort to keep the way of the Lord. We must in no case turn from His guidance to put our trust in man. The Lord's angels are appointed to keep strict watch over those who put their faith in the Lord, and these angels are to be our special help in every time of need. Every day we are to come to the Lord with full assurance of faith, and to look to Him for wisdom. . . . Those who are guided by the Word of the Lord will discern with certainty between falsehood and truth, between sin and righteousness.
After these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. Rev. 7:1.
Four mighty angels are still holding the four winds of the earth. Terrible destruction is forbidden to come in full. The ... winds will be the stirring up of the nations to one deadly combat, while the angels hold the four winds, forbidding the terrible power of Satan to be exercised in its fury until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.
The signs of the times give evidence that the judgments of heaven are being poured out, that the day of the Lord is at hand. The daily papers are full of indications of an intense conflict in the future. Bold robberies are of frequent occurrence. Strikes are common. Thefts and murders are committed on every hand. Men possessed by demons are taking the lives of men, women, and little children. All these things testify that the Lord's coming is near.
The restraining Spirit of God is even now being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, disasters by sea and by land, follow one another in quick succession. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause. . . .
The time is right upon us when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal. Even before the last great destruction comes upon the world, the flattering monuments of man's greatness will be crumbled in the dust. God's retributive judgments will fall on those who in the face of great light have continued in sin. Costly buildings, supposed to be fireproof, are erected. But as Sodom perished in the flames of God's vengeance, so will these proud structures become ashes. I have seen vessels which cost immense sums of money wrestling with the mighty ocean, seeking to breast the angry billows. But with all their treasures of gold and silver, and with all their human freight, they sank into a watery grave.... But amid the tumult of excitement, with confusion in every place, there is a work to be done for God in the world.
The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God. Rev. 14:9, 10.
Heretofore those who presented the truths of the third angel's message have often been regarded as mere alarmists. Their predictions that religious intolerance would gain control in the United States, that church and state would unite to persecute those who keep the commandments of God, have been pronounced groundless and absurd. . . . But as the question of enforcing Sunday observance is widely agitated, the event so long doubted and disbelieved is seen to be approaching, and the third message will produce an effect which it could not have had before. . . .
Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go forth with holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. The sins of Babylon will be laid open. The fearful results of enforcing the observances of the church by civil authority, the inroads of spiritualism, the stealthy but rapid progress of the papal power --all will be unmasked. By these solemn warnings the people will be stirred. . . . As the people go to their former teachers with the eager inquiry, Are these things so? the ministers present fables, prophesy smooth things, to soothe their fears and quiet the awakened conscience. But since many refuse to be satisfied with the mere authority of men and demand a plain "Thus saith the Lord," the popular ministry, like the Pharisees of old, filled with anger as their authority is questioned, will denounce the message as of Satan and stir up the sin-loving multitudes to revile and persecute those who proclaim it.
As the controversy extends into new fields and the minds of the people are called to God's downtrodden law, Satan is astir. The power attending the message will only madden those who oppose it. The clergy will put forth almost superhuman efforts to shut away the light lest it should shine upon their flocks. By every means at their command they will endeavor to suppress the discussion of these vital questions. The church appeals to the strong arm of civil power, and, in this work, papists and Protestants unite.
