    They want to turn giving water to people into a crime. Unfortunately, there is a religious group screaming about piety while cheering these kinds of actions on.

    I always thought illegal immigration was an Un-lawful act, rather than a criminal act.

    Like somebody who enters a country illegally and those who help them are acting unlawfully, but they're not actually criminals.

    At the end of the day, if you agree with this bloke or not, he did what he did to help others, I think that human quality is superior to the notion of "defending ones borders"

    There's a big difference too between someone actively helping illegal immigrants avoid police detection, and providing them with water or rescuing them from the desert.

    You can't have a law that prevents people rendering aid, and members of the public aren't immigration officers.

    Hey we agree on something:). Yep, the prosecutors overcharged(aiming for a plea bargain) and the jurors called it.
