This was one of the first choruses I learnt as a new Christian in 1965. It was a 'Truth for Youth Rally',where Jesus was presented as 'The Way,the Truth and the Life' (John 14:6)

Jesus gives 'joy;real joy,wonderful joy!'. It is so wonderful to have this joy within! It is a joy that triumphs over the trials of life. The world cannot give it or take it away! Jesus gives that joy and helps us keep it,despite the changing scenes of life.

There is joy in serving Jesus! His joy is our strength!

There is joy in heaven when one sinner repents and turns to the Lord!

The joybells keep ringing in our heart!

You know, it is joy in the Spirit that takes us above it all, still, the comforter continues the message; it's not meat and drink, but joy in the Spirit. Though He grants liberty for those risen with Him to taste. It's not being consumed with a connection of things but availing them to enjoy.

Joy, , one of those things that can be found in both the natural and spiritual! But, what happens after one sows to the Spirit is what sets our paths straight when the reaping begins.
