not of this fold ..... what fold is being talked about?

The people of Israel are God's sheep

Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

But Gentiles can be "grafted in".

well ... a gentile is a person who is not Jewish ..... so what about all those who lived before there were "jews"?

In Acts 10 Peter was sent to preach to the household of Cornelius, a Centurion of the Italian Regiment stationed at Caesarea. God had observed Cornelius was giving gifts to the poor. Peter was advised that he should not worry about the house being not kosher as God made all foods clean. Peter and six brothers went to Caesarea with the messengers sent by Cornelius. Peter bore witness the Holy Spirit visited them in a way similar to the way the Holy Spirit visited the Jewish disciples.

In Acts 15 it was decided the Gentiles ought not convert to Judaism in search of God’s way.

I agree that it's the Gentiles like Cornelius.
