The following is not so: "the weight falls on the house to prove it's case by the legal standard of the Justice system". The House prosecution follows the Constitution and the rules of the House and of the Senate in these matters.

Well it probably would create a brief delay in the process? So what? Hasn't Trump been President for 3 years? What's one more month to get things right? Again I repeat Bolton's lawyers said he had direct knowledge of the issue that is whether the President did anything wrong and the Dems turn away from exploring DIRECT KNOWLEDGE? So isn't it really a crime against the American people to not make sure they have the most substantive evidence in which they make their case? I'd contend the optics of them not ensuring they have such won't look good for the Dems.
My question would be, why did Bolton send F. Hill to the NSC lawyer to tell them what was said on the phone call, and why she needed to make sure that they knew he wasn't in league with what he called a "drug deal" with Sondland and Mulvaney.

Of course, the aid was only released after the whistleblower brought this to light and this was under investigation. Zelinsky still didn't get the meeting in the White House.

Jim Jordan reframing of the facts doesn't change them.

What facts???? Even Sondland open admitted the ONLY thing he had was his "presumption".

The House prosecution team will keep in mind that the 2016 election was a fluke in which Trump prevailed only because of a successful Russian hacking and disinformation campaign, with a last-minute intervention on Trump’s behalf by the very national-security state Trump defenders supposedly loathe.
There is zip, zero evidence that what Russia did influenced enough people that it would have changed the outcome of the election. That's just nonsense. Anyone that believes that needs to go on YouTube and listen to the people who voted for him. Most of them voted for him because they liked his persona and believed he would do what he said; that he would fight for them.
A lot of them voted for him because both Obama and Clinton had offended them by making derogatory remarks such as, "they cling to the Bibles and their guns" and "basket of deplorables" which frankly turned off a number of black voters that the Dems. count on.
There were a lot of reasons Trump was elected but it wasn't because of Russian interference in the election.
He was legitimately elected and people need to stop implying that he wasn't, not that you are.

Jim Jordan has been a hero over the last 5 days...

You do realize the hearings were not five consecutive days, right?

He is doing his best to show extreme bias to the right. Have you ever heard him make a neutral comment to witnesses?

And now Jordan's buddy, Nunes, may be in for the ride of his life.

Devin Nunes: Giuliani associate willing to tell Congress that Nunes met with ex-Ukrainian official to get dirt on Biden - CNNPolitics

Exclusive: Giuliani associate willing to tell Congress Nunes met with ex-Ukrainian official to get dirt on Biden

A lawyer for an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani tells CNN that his client is willing to tell Congress about meetings the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee had in Vienna last year with a former Ukrainian prosecutor to discuss digging up dirt on Joe Biden.

The attorney, Joseph A. Bondy, represents Lev Parnas, the recently indicted Soviet-born American who worked with Giuliani to push claims of Democratic corruption in Ukraine. Bondy said that Parnas was told directly by the former Ukrainian official that he met last year in Vienna with Rep. Devin Nunes.

One important point, Schiff's hearing has been a preliminary inquiry - it was not an/the actual impeachment hearing. If I'm not mistaken, the Judiciary Committee will be in charge of holding that for the full House. It is likely that the more reluctant witnesses will be compelled to testify for that, should it happen.

Nothing CNN says can be laughed at when they are stating facts what what happened, which is the entire mission of the network - unlike Fox, which plays a "fake news" game every day.

I think Jordan is destroying his reputation with the American people due to his monologues filled with irrelevant histrionics, although he is obviously attracting the attention of big money donors like the Koch brothers.

He has only won recently because his district was gerrymandered to root out all those pesky Democrats. And he will need big money donors to fight off the stories of how he ignored the sexual assaults of wrestlers in his coaching days.

Nunes' trip to dig up dirt on the Bidens with Ukraine's help is now in play.

Both Nunes and Jordan may well lose primaries next spring.

When Pelosi, Nadler and Schiff are up for re election. It is not far fetched that their constituents will consider their multi year failures and fecklessness and vote them out also.

Oh, the optimism of a continued delusion of far left fantasies.

does that help the narrative?

Ah, the far right delusions continue.

The narrative is that the GOP has to lie to survive.

Adam Schiff is not a member of the GOP

but yes, you are 100% correct the Democratic narrative is that the GOP has to lie to survive. Their only opposition to their narrative are facts as shown with Sondland.
