Anyone else see this tonight?

A 42 year old former traffic cop, considers himself to be the Messiah reincarnated. Of course, he just happens to sleep with his female congregation members ( he tells his wife that she is 'heroic' to allow other women to share him!)

Seems to have quite a following though.

What I don't get is the people who follow these nuts. The nuts? Well I guess there's some inherent benefits of thinking you're the son of god. But the people who follow them?

The saddest thing of all was when people were saying that they had to forget everything that they had ever read in a Bible, to be able to accept this man as Christ.

I think a belief that one is the Messiah is a widely recognised symptom of psychiatric illness. I've met several patients with such a belief - they usually receive treatment and cause no harm.

Didn't people think Jesus was a whack-job 2000 years ago? Just a (provocative) thought...
